There are a lot of legitemate problems with D2. Exotics feel lackluster, strikes are useless past power level 265, 4v4 pvp with game medley only isn't as enjoyable as D1 pvp, microtransactions, vendor goods are useless past power level 265, all grenade lauchers are lame compared to D1 machine guns, shot guns and snipers are heavies now and the raid is the most mechanical so far. Its going to take a big overhaul to fix the problems, which is a nightmare for programmers and probably not going to happen any time soon. Destiny 2 will be pretty empty compared to D1 year 1 until a good, revolutionary DLC is released like house of wolves tried to do.

Some of those things need to change, sure. But you have to remember Destiny 2 is a NEW GAME. They didn't want it to be like just a big expension of Destiny 1. lol. So yes they wanted to change alot of things. Add new things. Take away things they didn't like much. And they geared it towards casuals, people without time, and new players. Hardcore players have felt saddened by this fact. But I think what everyone's real problems are is the fact that Bungie wasn't transparent about all the changes before release. So everyone had expectations way too high and Bungie didn't do anything to keep that from being a problem. Well it's probably Activision's fault on that one now that I think about it. They were probably afraid if everyone knew all the changes ahead of time they'd lose sales. Which some hardcore players probably wouldn't have bought this game at all. So they'd be right on the money about losing sales. lol

Even casuals like me only play on tuesday now. I havent bought anything from xur in 2 weeks. I honestly feel loke Destiny 2 is empty and boring, but thats my opinion. You are right, its a new game. I don't feel any of the nostalgia I felt in D1.

We need to give it time. Step back and wait for the DLC if you have too. It's okay. Put in as much time as you want in the game but don't force it. The expectations are over now. lol
-
Unfortunately, I have to step back.
-
Nothing wrong with that.

Its only 6 weeks into a major AAA game and I have to step back as a dude who just finished the raid. I played D1 every day for a year. Its just so seperated from D1 that its not exciting anymore.

If you played D1 at launch doing any activity except the raid and NFs or IB when it was up were useless past level 26 with the other activities not rewarding anything of interest. While player expectation was high anyone who played the beta saw the future changes at least if they stopped to think about it, I actually thought shaders were going to be gear specific since everything had a shader slot. Do remember that some of the things not all so don't take my words out of context was removed because the player base asked for it like the grind and random rolls and the special weapon debacle. Bungie is to blame for some of the problems like the raid and shader issue but do not exclude the community from that equation.

I made it to raid ready and beat atheon with the fall glitch and then a second time thebright way before I ever completed a nightfall in D1.
-
Neat I did the raid with the Templar platform cheese and beat Atheon the right way (because a dude who bragged he could do the fall glitched made us waste an hour trying it while the other half of us just wanted to do it the right way) before I did a night fall. You only had to be 26 to be raid ready which wasn't had to get.

Yea, i got the cheese right away lol. He fell on the first try, but the patch went in the next week. But I played over 200 strikes at least before then, but with D2, I only played maybe 30 strikes.
