Am I the only one who never does patrols? They're kinda just there and aren't too exciting. The only time I ever do them is to get that extra planet token I need to level up a vendor. I feel like people would be more motivated to do them if they were automatically given to the player periodically instead of requiring you to spend as long starting them as you did doing them. It also makes it feel like a neat system of little chores the planet vendor needs you to do instead of just some "fiddly batons."

I only did patrols in D1 because they gave you 25-100 vanguard rep. Fun way to casually rank up vanguard or faction rep if you didn't wanna run strikes. I usually picked them up when I was running my daily bounties. D1 had faction rep gaining on day 1, why the hell can we not rank up factions in D2??? Are factions only going to be relative like once every month or something?? Sadly you only get vaguard rep from strikes and there are no Daily Bounties. (Challenges do not count)

They are good for Clan XP milestones. It's also not a bad idea to pick up a few and complete them passively if you are working on flashpoints. But beyond that, they are a simple activity. Is that a bad thing though? Not every activity in the game needs to be super rewarding does it?

I feel the time that needs to activate them needs a buff. I hate getting shot to bits while trying to proc a beacon.

If you are part of a clan they are the one of the quicker ways to max out clan XP. Other than token no other reason to do them. But there was almost no reason in D1 as well
