I agree with you there. There are few things more disappointing than finding out you can't put your favourite shader on your favourite sword =(.
Slightly off topic but not entirely, what's with the way that swords are holstered on your back now??? Is it just me that is extremely bothered by how horizontal they are or is anyone else bothered by it also?

I think it's a case of how they programmed the placement. Rather than taking a part of the blade close to the Guard/Hilt, they take the center of the blade part and attach that to the center of your back, which is what causes the placement to look so weird. Especially on Titans because of the bulky backs they have.

Yeah, it just puzzles me why they would do that because the way they were holstered in D1 was awesome. There were few things that felt cooler than having your newly acquired Dark Drinker sitting on your back for everyone to see. But now it just looks really out of place :/

For my Hunter, I've noticed that the way my swords are holstered depends on what cloak I have equipped. For instance when I have the EDZ cloak on it holsters my sword more vertically, while another cloak holsters my sword more horizontally.

I remember that. The Psion Flayer cloaks always made my weapons look wonky in the Tower.

Oh really?? Wow that is very interesting. I haven't even noticed that, probably because I rarely switch cloaks once I've found one I like lol. I'm definitely going to look into that, I am greatly intrigued
