[SPOILER] End Credits Explained - Five Destiny 2 Expansions Revealed?

If you do not want the game spoiled do not read further ahead. You have been warned. The end credits scene of Destiny 2 shows a massive amount of power being discharged from the Traveler. It shows us several locations as they are hit with this awesome wave of power, and it seems like the order may be important. It could be that in the same order these locations are shown, could be the same order and locations as Expansions. Expansion 1 – The Curse of Osiris Mercury is the first location outside of Earth to be shown getting blasted with this energy, and we already know the first expansion will take place on Mercury. There is not much explanation that needs to be had here. It was already speculated that Osiris would be part of the first expansion because Bungie showed us his emblem under Expansion 1 in promotions. Expansion 2 – Charlemagne’s Vault Next to the Osiris emblem on that promotion was the emblem of War mind Rasputin. It is possible this emblem is for all War minds or that Charlemagne (the War mind on Mars) contacts or is noticed by Rasputin who tells us to go to Mars. Many of you already know that Charlemagne’s Vault was going to be in Destiny 1, but was cut for whatever reason. Maybe for the second expansion it will be time to finally see all the pretty loot inside! Expansion 3 – Queen’s Vengeance This part may be the most difficult to believe in this theory, but could very well be true. The third place the Traveler’s blast is shown is in the Reef. Could we see the Awoken Royal Family again? I know it seemed as if they died in the Taken King, but if they did escape it would be fun to revisit the Reef and be sent on more missions for the Queen. Expansion 4 – The Taken Queen Speaking of the Awoken Queen’s Vengeance, she would definitely still have beef with the Taken because Oryx destroyed her people. At the end of the Taken King, Eris Morn is shown speaking to someone she addresses as “my queen”. In Destiny 2 we can investigate a blight where our ghost tells us he keeps hearing “Sa… va… thun…”. Savathun is Oryx’s sister and could have taken over the Taken. Ikora did tell us that if we left them alive someone would take over. Destiny 3 – The attack of the Gorg The last scene was the force that looked like the Gorg from Home! I have no idea who might be in those ships, but it is likely we will not find out until Destiny 3. What do you think about this theory? Could it be true? Did I miss anything?

    • Interesting theory! But I'm not entirely sure. Why go back to some locations we've already been too (Mars, reef, Dreadnaught)? Will they be the same as D1? Or will they be different?

Queens vengeance We know the uldren is alive. He is currently within the house of kings trying to get close to their kell. We can assume Mara Sov is alive through what the voice actress said about it a while back. Taken Queen Yes I can almost promise Savathun will show up in the game and personally I can't wait. However, at the end of the taken king, Eris is talking to Queen Mara Sov. Also, at the beginning of the taken king in the cutscene, Mara is talking to Eris.

          • So...who else saw the pyramid ships and immediately remembered those two pieces of concept art that were circulating before D1s release? 1. Concept art explicitly depicting the exact same pyramid ships. 2. A series of differently colored backgrounds with sillouttes most of which were easily identified as depicting one if the known enemy factions but one remained a mystery even after 3 years of Destiny. A yellow background with triangles and an unknown slim figure. I think #2 is a pretty good indication that we may be dealing with a whole new enemy faction.

              • There was a leak for the 2nd Expansion that said it would be on Earth, could be correct or not. Either way we could end up going to Mars since the Warmind symbol is the symbol for the expansion. I hope they take advantage of Quria's state. I want to see a Taken army led by the Vex fighting the Taken Army lead by Savathun. They could even do similar cutscenes like they did with Ghaul and Consul. Like maybe Savathun is asking Quria why the Taken Vex are revolting and Quria just tries to keep it a secret despite the Taken-ness pulling at its core. But who knows? One can dream.

                • The first is probably true, because multiple times they hinted at Osiris on some Nessus adventure missions. The end credit scene may also be hinting at upcoming events or free updates too. I don't think everything will be DLC or content updates, I think some of it was just nostalgia. I don't think the triangle ships were a Destiny 3 tease, I'm thinking more of it being the first big DLC like The Taken King was for D1.
