can someone at bungie please fix this I cant even get to character screen I've restarted the game 12 times already

Oct 3 2020. I am having that problem now, for the past 4 days. I tried all the troubleshooting "techniques" bungie offers, but no avail, all other online games run fine, just destiny 2 is the issue, please help

Tried everything Only thing that let me log back in, was to play a different game for a few minutes I think they felt threatened, so they let me back in

Every time I go into my inventory and go into one of my items on the Xbox One it keeps crashing with the error code weasel . I'm trying to look at stats on gear and putting shaders on but as I go into it it crashes with that error code. Can someone help has all my network connections are working fine and my nat is open.

2 RepliesHey Guardians, an issue that's been going around is the "Chicken" error. Apparently it can be caused by closing the application of the game without logging out. When you try to log in again the game thinks your character is still logged in, resulting in this error. A friend in my clan helped me out and we determined the error could be fixed by completely powering down the PS4 for 20 to 30 seconds (I recommend a minute, just to be sure). Turn it back on, and start the application. This should fix it; it worked for me. To avoid the error in the future, make sure you log out from the Settings tab in the Character menu. As you may have read already, Bungie is investigating this error, and may update the game in the future to prevent this from occurring, but for now, play it safe.

*** UPDATE*** it must be the servers. after 7 or 8 attempts, it let me log in. If you get error code chicken, just keep spamming and trying to log in. Eventually, you'll get it. [spoiler]Buy more server space bungle, you're pockets are full by now anyway[/spoiler]

I´m getting the chicken error code, too. Tried to login more than 20 times, closed the game and started it new, started my PS4 Pro new, nothing worked. My guess is that more people want to play Destiny 2 right now than they have server capacity. Right now it´s Sunday evening in Europe and midday to early afternoon in the USA. A shame that they solve it by blocking players to join instead of investing in enough server capacity! As a part of Blizzard, they should have learned from the WOW releases but I guess they learned that there will be many people after release wanting to play and after some time, whenn there are less, the server capacity is ok. So they save the money.
