I think any notions of Mercury being anything other than a pig over a spit are stupid, even if a collective of nerds thought it up. Life supporting conditions on Mercury means an atmosphere that won't burn up, and for that we'd need a sun that wouldn't burn it. A less powerful sun would spell certain destruction for anything else beyond Mercury. Oh, and Venus, because the traveler made it inhabitable. Physics, Thermodynamics, untold volumes of celestial and cosmic knowledge, undone by the Great White Hope.
Bad, bad nerds.

So what's my nova bomb? What's the science behind that? Does it support flat earth theory
-
I don't believe it does, but it appears to support Flat Dual Multi-string Anti-theory Theory. At least that's what the nerds call it.

That could be dark matter/energy.
-
Is this the same dark matter/energy that has no mass or value? Is this the same dark matter/energy that hasn't been observed by the human eye? Come on man.
-
Dark matter hasn't been directly observed but indirectly. A lady is credited with it. By observing other galaxies and noting how they didn't thin and gray at the edges as expected due to weakening gravity over distance. What was observed was galactic edges that were too thick and well formed, which is the opposite of what was expected. The only conclusion to explain so far is an unknown variable that can affect matter yet has so far evaded detection. I believe there is also a model of two observed galaxies colliding that may have highlighted it during the resulting explosion of matter colluding. It was a Discovery special I saw years ago, I forget which university made the model. So you sure you want to talk real world science in a video game? Cause that's just stupid.

We believe that Void energy may be antimatter judging by the fact that Rasputin has antimatter weapons in his arsenal from the Golden Age. Antimatter has no mass and can't be seen by the human eye, but it has energy and makes up much more of the existing universe than matter. It's possible that Light is able to convert antimatter into a tangible form (such as a Nova Bomb or grenade or Ward of Dawn) so that it and its energy can effectively be used by Guardians. The Light defies physics after all, so theorizing that it can utilize intangible energy isn't a stretch

Seems legit

Just an idea, mate. You can see it because its been empowered by Light? Meh, game science, whatever works I guess lol

But have you considered, space magic?
