Intricacy and depth...And the serious lack there of.

Let me start this it first by saying I have been a die-hard Destiny fan since day one, both in pve and pvp, there isn't a part of the Destiny realm I haven't spent countless hours on. Every raid, beat em, every strike, story and pvp map been there done that. Now that that's been said.... What the hell are you guys thinking??? As more info about the D2 has come out I become a little less excited about it, started out encouraging knowing you're expanding the "open world" then you guys made one huge misstep after another. I didn't start playing destiny because I wanted another f-ing call of duty game! I started playing it because the premise of a shooter with the intricacies of an mmo was amazing...in concept. So as I have held out hope for that you would actually deliver the depth that you promised, my hope has instead been meet with this steaming pile of crap. Instead of going over all the reasons why you're doing this as many others here have already stated numerously (PvP focus is killing your game etc.) Let me instead just put this out there like this a simple list. 1) I want more options in my subclasses not less!!!! This right here is just a flat out insult to your gamers. Pretty much stating hey we don't think your smart enough to learn how to use your own classes so don't worry we REALLY DUMBED IT DOWN. As your team pretty much said in one of their interviews during E3 2) "hey guys let's 'balance' everything by making it suck" I have to wonder if this was the subject line for one of your company wide emails. Super, grenades etc charge rates, slow all movement down (because who's doesn't like running in sand...) 3) weapons oh my f@#$*#$ God why? Again I have to wonder if your email subject line read something like this "so guns players enjoy.. Let's screw that up too!!" Hmmmm double 'primaries' should be a skill perk not the F-ing standard! 4) "but look guys you can change colors on everything" That is the poorest excuse for customization ever! I don't care if the guy next to me looks somewhat similar when I can actually customize my characters play style Honestly this list could keep going, and I get that this is a beta and all that crap etc, but let's be real Bungie you're already screwing the pooch before the games even out. I'm not going to say I'm cancelling my pre order because face it you're the closest thing to a real mmo shooter there is out there, but Anthem is starting to look real interesting right about now.

  • I think you're still looking at all of these problems from the mindset of D1. D2 is an entirely different game and all of these changes will play out differently in the sequel. If Bungie were to implement these things into the original game it would be terrible and absolutely ruin the game. I don't think you can really criticize these changes entirely until the game officially launches. Anthem doesn't come out till next year anyways, so i think you should at least give it a chance. I do however agree with the whole slow recharge thing and i think with the amount of change the community wants with that, then it will probably happen.
