Is it just me or is the hit detection really inconsistent?
Edit: I haven't had any lag issues. Overall, it's been decent and I've performed well in matches. It may have just been me having a couple of off games.
Edit: I heard that the aim assist was toned down. Just takes some getting used to.

I'm getting it the worst with sweet business.

This is my main issue. There is no consistency. Hit detection is so clumsy. I'm getting killed behind walls, I'm killing people running behind walls. I stand in front of someone and my hand cannon shots don't register when I'm 100% sure it was a hit. The age of precision is gone, skill doesn't matter anymore. I've seen this on kraftyy's luminosity's and gothalion's streams as well so it's not just me.

Me!!! Varies from match to match. Sometimes varies within a match. Lag is there... They just hid it better... Like cod. Not putting too much into it tho... It's a beta! But yeah I agree.... Hit detection RNG!!!!
-
Yeah it seems to come and go. I'll be emptying my auto rifle into someone and it doesn't even take their shield down. And then the next minute my gun is melting people. Like someone said earlier. Feels like hit detection in cod now. You don't see any lag or jitter in the game which is lovely. But the lag comp kicks in and you either melt or get melted by players

It's not you... I thought it was a new feature! Well, with all the improvements and all...
-
The hit detection is wonky as hell
-
https://youtu.be/pSK_ssJxCIs I'm having problems with detection in general.
-
Eh I'm just kinda bad
-
I've had other people, including myself, say the same thing. It's not the aim assist drop and it has more to do with a combination of their aiming system and hit registration. Just like I feel that the game is more choppy/jittery than D1. It's hopefully just the old version and simply not polished.

I've had issue with melees hit detection both super and normal. However it's accentuated more on the sentinel. Could be lag but it's an issue and when i would be bashing them they were playing just fine. For gunplay I've been faring well, give or take shotgun pellets missing but that might just be the nature of shotguns.

people have said that the aim assist has been toned down which makes guns less sticky. Not sure if this is true but it could be contributing with what your feeling.

Edited by Moist: 7/21/2017 8:18:32 AMGood news; sticky nades don't one hit kill anymore. Bad news; sticky nades still orbit around every guardians Uranus and will move metres to be able to stick the target

Personally no. My aim just sucks ass.
-
-
Nope haven't had it yet
-
Yeah. A lot of players love to take advantage of it, too. Jumping jackass and sprinting maniac pussy shit.
-
I have noticed this actually. I have my sight right on somebody and take like 15 shots but not one hits.
-
I just had the issue as well. It's not an all the time thing but it is noticeable when it happens. Not sure if it's lag or not because I've been having good experiences with no lag for the most part.
-
Yeah, quite a few ghostbullets
-
No I havnt

Edited by BrandonTrimble: 7/21/2017 1:47:13 AMI noticed it on hand cannons, and smgs. Shots are hitting but not doing damage, also with striker Titan I hit a few shoulder charges with my super with no damage dealt
-
By hit detection do you mean that you actually are trash at aiming and shooting and you blame it on "hit detection"
-
My hit detection was working fine this morning.
on D1
-
That's weird because in D1 the hit detection was probably the worst out of any FPS I've ever played. But it actually feels good in D2. My bullets hit where they should.
-
Hand Cannons seem to have ghost bullets. It could be this, or the game just has less aim assist. I've only really used Sunshot in PvP and PvE, though it truly feels they occasionally disappear.
