28 RepliesJust want to say. Anyone hating on you or your video is self deflecting. A good person wouldn't say the stuff they are saying. There is type of people who don't do anything with their lives and people who do. Some people bitch about stuff they see on the news and other go out on the community to fix it. The people giving zero criticism while bashing you over making a video, are the people who don't do anything productive in their lives. If they are productive, it's not for self gain but for somebody else and they hate where they are in life and come to forums to slander people. Just keep doing what you do, there will always be haters. Don't let them bring you down.

It's obvious to anyone with a brain that you're trying to make content that'll reflect your need to express yourself and at the same time, entertain your audience. However, I have still to find enjoyment in any of your characters. I'm more of a high brow, Lewis C.K., Aaron Sorkin, "Suck it, Trebek" kind of humor guy. But that doesn't mean your attempts are shit, just because someone like me doesn't find them genuinely funny. If you'd care for some sincere feedback: Try and have your script/dialogue be funny, while putting the "funny voice" on the back seat. What I find hilarious about StoryMachine, for example, is his sentence structure and phrasing, not his voice. That guy makes me piss myself laughing even if he's talking about cutting carrots for a stew dinner. You do you, Tash and I salute you for trying, but this kind of stuff doesn't resonate with me personally...

I enjoyed what you were trying to do, rather a lot actually. It didn't completely work for me, but I about ruined a monitor by liberally spewing coffee at your first shotgun death. I would have liked to see something where you had pre-recorded gameplay, and staged more like a violent episode of SS; not only do I think it would have come across more composed and allowed you a chance to review and fix a few impression slips (I think I counted 2, for a grand total of about .75 seconds), but I think it might have allowed you a better canvas to showcase what you were trying to do. I think it was a great effort, very well done overall. My assumption is you got the idea in your head, and said -blam!- it, I'm doing that right now. Nothing wrong with that, but it can come out a tad unformatted that way once in a while (says the non-YouTuber person, lol). Generally speaking, I like what you try to do in your content stream; you express yourself clearly and concisely without boring either yourself or your viewers. If I had one piece of advice to you, it would be to keep doing this kind of thing, but take an extra 30 minutes between concept and execution to round out the few rough edges you might find and make a couple of editorial decisions. All in all, you're one of the greats in the YouTube Destiny arena, and I respect both your efforts and your fortitude to just be yourself. Respect and admiration all around. Give me the finger and keep doing what you do best, and I'll keep watching it.
