Pre Destiny 2 Suggestions/Ideas
Some guardians and I were talking earlier and thought about how we have private matches which are basically custom games. We thought it would be a fun idea to give players the option to make custom strikes. You pick the strike that you would like to use then pick the version (Taken, Siva, Hive, Cabal etc.) then choose the modifiers, make it like mayhem/daybreak or not. Once created we could save it to our own accounts and play with friends or post it to a public playlist. This idea is basically like what COD did with WaW and BO3 by releasing mod tools right before the next game was released only much more simplified. If you like the idea great if not that's fine too, just some food for thought. I know it may be late for Destiny 1 but maybe a potential idea for Destiny 2.

I really like the idea, but I hate to say that it is highly unlikely that Bungie will implement something like this. The reason is that Bungie has simply become an inherently lazy company. It's unlikely that they will go far above and beyond the minimum amount of work necessary to make a profit on Destiny 2. Additionally, Bungie would probably argue that the strike playlists of random strike variations will be acceptable, instead of doing extra work to make custom strikes. Personally, I'm very concerned whether or not Bungie will even separate PvP and PvE in Destiny 2, despite the community's pleas for such a change. Don't get me wrong tho, custom strikes would be really, really fun! I just don't set any high expectations for Destiny anymore.
