Question on Killing Logic and Sword Logic

Hey everyone! I've seen this discussion numerous times in the past but I can't seem to find it, but what exactly is Sword Logic and Killing Logic and their differences? I'm interested in writing a story focusing on the Taken, and since those two things play a big role in Hive culture (and thus influencing The Taken) I'd like to stay accurate to their principles. If anyone can give me an in-depth explanation or a link to a previous explanation I would greatly appreciate it! Edit: Thank you everyone! The YouTubers you've pointed me towards and the explanations have helped me everyone! Now I see why they say that Lore section of the forums is the friendliest and most open towards others.

  • If you're interested in the Sword Logic and the taken, I advise you listen to the Book of Sorrow verse readings by "My name if Byf" on YouTube, as well as the Ben Broman stream featuring Byf as they go through the entire Book discussing each Grimoire card. Just so you know, there around 6hrs of content so grab a cab of Pringles, it's gonna be awhile.

    • Killing logic is the power proven by killing something else . It means that you are stronger than what you kill and weaker than what kills you. Sword logic is the basis in which you gain power through what you kill. The more you kill, the stronger and smarter you become Sword logic is a more important factor than killing logic in Hive culture, but you could not have one without the other. The Darkness utilizes sword logic in a way that allows you to grow to a point where killing enough allows you strength to grow to a point that allows you to defy physics. A blade used to kill many can make the universe shrink away from its edge in fear of its malice and allows Hive to cut holes in reality that lead to the Ascendant Realm. The Ascendant Realm is a place where, once a Hive entity has killed enough, their deaths are hidden because they have proven themselves as something unkillable in the universe. In the Ascendant Realm a Hive is at its most powerful because that is where its power is kept, but if something can kill them in there at their full strength then they have proven themselves more powerful through killing logic and the Hive will die permanently

        • The sword logic means that if you kill something more powerful than yourself, you become more powerful, which pushes all living beings towards one perfect final being that cannot be defeated by the sword logic. We killed Oryx, therefore we are he more powerful beings and "deserve" to live, whereas he does not because he was defeated

        • Sword logic is the hives magic. Its to kills with your increases your power and makes your sword stronger. Killing logic is where you prove you are more powerful and when you use it. You also gain the abilities of the person you killed.

I've only heard of the sword logic but here it is. It's basically survival of the fittest. To prove that you are stronger than something you have to kill it. There are other ppl who can go more in depth like a lore you tuber myelin games. Check him out

          • As far as sword logic goes If I want to prove I'm stronger I have to kill something stronger than me and in doing so I become more powerful Killing logic is more like rouge from x-men by killing people she gains their powers Same thing for the hive
