i know alot of people are not happy with the changes to special ammo but.........

this will give the players the opportunity to force the other team or players into an 'eco round' in elimination type game modes removing their special after the first round or any round for that matter making every round won valuable for each team, what do you guys think?

  • TL:DR- Too many factors for this to have been a useful or productive change, and it was additionally not thought through very long. I think while that sounds good on paper, that is actually a very bad idea when you play Trials and Elimination. Simple scenario: one team has to run (or camp for special like you mentioned) around with primaries, the other will most assuredly rush with secondary, and you won't beat them. And garunteed that there are many variables that could change who has special, or if anyone has it at all (like everyone dies and gets revived but long story short someone wins), the chances of every round of most games being lop-sided or stagnant is way too high for them to have thought this through. Also, the special timers are fairly quick, so it shouldn't matter if the round is played normally, which will, again, lead to a lop-sided game. To me, this seems like a reason (if we are speaking specifically about eliminations game modes) to inconvenience people if they die. This is foolish: risks have to be taken, or both teams sit there till zone. You shouldn't be punished for attempting to make a dent in the game result. Another point: special weapons take a big role in gameplay even if people die earlier in a round. The role of each teammate commonly depends on what special weapon choice is used per person. I'm willing to assume they didn't want that anymore. Also, the likely-hood of people just sitting back because they're afraid to loose ammo is incredibly high as well. Another point likely overlooked by the Sandbox team. Guess this is what happens when people who don't play something make changes for the people who do.
