Infusing same stat gear

Hello people, just wanted to see if others had experienced what I'm about to share. On a few occasions recently, I have had two items that both had the same attack/defence stat, e.g. two helmets with 390 defence, and have been able to infuse them together to form a higher stat version, e.g. a 391 helmet. However this seems to not work consistently, as there's been multiple times in which I've been in the same scenario, yet unable to infuse the two items. Is there a certain condition that has to be met to allow this to happen? Should this even be possible? Thanks in advance.

  • From what I have heard, every piece of gear have a hidden decimal in their number. If the helmet you're sacrificing have a higher decimal than the one it's being infused into, the game will automatically round it out. This sometimes causes gear to get 1 extra light. I might be wrong though. Can anyone confirm?

    • This only happens around 390-392. There appears to be a bit of a visual glitch that happens at those light where some gear appears to be a light below what it actually is. Particularly with 392 gear that says it's 391 in game. If you infuse these pieces into gear, the resulting piece will be 392. I'm beyond that point now so haven't seen it in a while, but had several people on here with a similar problem to you and that is the best I could come up with. Some were complaining that at 392, they were getting 391 gear which shouldn't be possible with the current decryption system. When any of these fake 391s were infused though, the resultant would be 392s. This being a visual glitch was also evidenced by equipping a 392 piece and then switching to one of the fake 391s and checking the progress bar on your light level. It wouldn't move after changing which backs up that the pieces were actually the same light.
