Arcblade Vanish Build and Arcblade Guide

Playing with Arcblade with friends I have noticed some people have a hard time with it so here is a quick guide and an awesome build I found. Arcblade is a super that is very powerful but does take some skill and the right setup to achieve success. The first part of using the super is getting to your opponent with the super active. This (although sounds easy) can be a difficult task. If you activate it while in battle the enemy may be able to kill you will you’re stuck in the activation animation as well all the opponents in the area will know that you’re their and immediately focus fire you. Instead it is better to activate it safely from cover and then running out at the enemy. Now the second part: surviving. While closing the gap between you and the enemy you will sustain significant damage, you will likely get the first kill but the other enemies will kill you. Most players will therefore use hungering blade so once they kill the first enemy they get their health back so they can kill the others. The main weakness of the arcblade is how close you most get to your enemy. To use it well you have to move quickly therefore I recommend always using blink. With it you can avoid enemy fire and attack them from unsuspecting angles so to avoid eating a shotgun melee. The main things that will get you killed while in arcblade are special weapons and supers. Supers are often unavoidable so the main objective is that died guardians cannot super you so kill everyone as quickly as possible. For snipers avoid sniper lanes or blink into them and move through them quickly, for shotguns try kill them before they notice you or try blinking behind them, as well always blink around corners. Now that we understand how to best use the super I have a new build for the arcblade that I have found super affective. With this build you will want to run vanish, shadow jack, encore and of course blink. Vanish is the key component here and what makes this build such a game changer. With it you will immediately go invisible once activating your super. This will make it so you can get close to your enemies without sustaining a ton of damage. This is because the invisibility will both make noticing you and aiming at you very difficult as well as remove you from the radar so the enemy won’t know where you are coming from. As well this makes the super much more able to be activated in battle or in clutch moments. The final thing is that since you now don’t need hungering blade you can use encore without worry so to extend the duration of your arcblade. Have you tried this setup or a similar one? How do you like it? I'm also making video version for youtube. I've had some real fun with is setup and want others to know about it. Also I noticed some players in the recent competitive finals using vanish. Other In Depth posts: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/209148528
