The Walking Dead S07E06 - Swear - Discussion

My opinion: 2/10. Maybe a bit higher, but that was really bad. I did not enjoy that episode at all. The writing and some of the acting were really bad.

2 RepliesIt's filler bs to save money on screen time for the better actors like Rick. It's way cheaper to show an hour of tara than it is Rick. That why we saw this shitty episode. All because the writers wanted to save a few bucks. They aren't the only ones either. More and more tv shows and movies are moving away from A listers and it's why our entertainment is going down the shitter.

7 RepliesVery underwhelmed by the portrayal of Negan on the show. Not gonna lie, he seems much more watered down and feminine compared to the comic book character. Hard to stack up to the insanity and aggressiveness of comic book Negan on basic cable where the F word is not applicable.

5 RepliesI found myself on my phone or talking to my significant other during the entire episode. I don't think it was a terrible episode, but I think they should have shortened Heaths and Tara's journey. I was also disappointed of the ending of the episode, I will put a spoiler tag just in case someone has not watched it yet. [spoiler]I was disappointed when Tara arrived back to Alexandria. The news of Denise, Glenn, and Abraham seemed like nothing to her, but I understand from the point of view of accepting what's happened and accepting Negan and the Saviors as being dominant. I'm not sure if I wasn't paying attention or what, but I don't remember seeing Heath at the end of the episode either, it would have been nice to see him at the gates of Alexandria when Tara arrived. [/spoiler] I understand the set up and filler episodes leading up to "All Out War", so can't get too upset. I was prepared to not pay much attention to this episode lol.

My biggest issue with the last few seasons of this show is that certain outcomes are very predictable and the 6-8 episodes building up to those outcomes is what has made it harder and harder to stay into this series. This episode was just another bad reminder of that fact. Not to mention Tarra is not an interesting character by any stretch of the imagination so why devote an entire episode to her

I hate this fragmented season. One episode with just Tara, one with Alexandria, one with Hilltop, etc. Seems the show is spread too thin. I know they're building to having the other communities eventually take on the saviors but I'm starting to get annoyed

too much melodramatic garbage to drudge through. all of this content from the original source following the introduction of Negan, yet they squander it with god awful sub plots.

1 ReplyMan oh man. [spoiler]I usually don't mind standalone character episodes and Tara's alright by me. The Eastman episode from last season(?) was really good imo. That said... there were so many cliches and weird moments (that child actor...wat) it just felt like they phoned it in. This whole season has sorta been hit or miss. If Westworld/GoT and the like's insurgence and method of storytelling says anything, it's that you can prooobably trust the audience's brains and run multiple storylines concurrently. I get what they were trying to deliver in this episode. But it was unfolded at a snail's pace and probably would've been okay cut in half and packed into some other episode. Still like the show, but I agree with others ITT -- The Walking Dead has been tough to follow on a week to week basis and that goes all the way back to season 2. :p[/spoiler]

[spoiler]i completely forgot the even went out on their week long scavenge or whatever. Forgot she didn't know the fat doctor was dead. Hopefully things will finally get moving.[/spoiler] I also just don't like Terra as a person.
