I never felt it was overpowering.
It added more variety to your weapons

YES! As if raid primary don't have a burn!
-
At this point what difference does it make?! -Hillary R. Clinton
-
The exotic primaries could have elemental damage, like Zhalo. That would keep it self limiting, having to choose only one exotic slot. Hard light being arc, bad juju being void, No Time to Explain could be solar, etc. I personally enjoyed the elemental legendaries, but it looks like Bungie is dead set against it.
-
So just a question. Firefly registers as solar damage. So if you blow up ads using firefly near a solar shielded enemy, such as a wizard, does it do enough damage to drop the shield? Should know the answer to this but I don't. Still miss my Fatebringer and Voc but I think with our current light levels they would probably be way too op.
-
No because it makes the nightfall and heroic strike modifiers pointless. I don't want easy kills.
-
Outbreak Prime should have had void damage.
-
stop asking for more crutches
-
Solar scout rifle & void hand cannon, both exotic, the only effect I can think of off the top pf my head is the hand cannon has a temporary phogoth like blinding effect on critical hits.
-
They should be put in exotics imo
-
I do Xur should sell them for like 50 coins maybe more and u could add them to any gun u want
-
I think they should add elemental crystals instead so people don't just stick with one weapon. The crystals can be obtained from raids, flawless trials, and nightfalls.
-
Just put them on exotics and be done with it, bring back vex and Necro while they are at it!!
-
since everyone says no cause it means there will only be three or so guns people use, how bout the raid has a chance to drop an item that adds an elemental to your primary? then any gun could have it as to not narrow down the gun pool. it could also drop out of the lighthouse chest for our pvp bros, but it should only be obtainable from the raid and trials.
-
It stops people using a small amount of weapons. It's fine as it is

Edited by GalaxySpider: 11/17/2016 11:23:12 AMI still don't understand how it brought variety. People never support this argument. Only guns people were using was FB, VoC and the Fang. 3 primary guns, wow. So much variety... The only thing I could see to somehow bringing it back is a perk which gives you a CHANCE for elememtal damage. Everything else just breaks the shield system and makes it obsolete on enemies.
-
There should be an item, similar to ornaments, obtained from end game activities that allows you to add an element to any primary you want. #variety
-
Make all exotic primaries have elemental Damage.
and make them all solar
-
Nightfalls should have an elemental burn every week. Whatever primary you have equipped upon completion should get the respective nightfalls burn applied to it until next reset. 1 primary per week.
-
No point this game is over in 10 months.
-
I don't really miss them, but I would like it if they came back. Maybe just give some exotics elemental burns, as a trade off.
-
Don't miss them at all.
-
I would love if they would stop telling us to be legends but we can't have anything good. All bungie does is nerf and remove things THEY deem OP and unbalanced, don't worry bungie elemental primary totally broke your game... Mhm... That was the biggest problem with destiny wasn't it. Thanks for nerfing primary damage so much it's literally half of what it was in vanilla. You have nerfed them so much that secondary and heavy is the one means of damage. The only gun that feels like a year 1 gun is Outbreak and that's just cause of the siva swarm. I wish I could find where I saw a while back they said they didn't want everyone using fatebringer lmao. Saying it was causing less variety in the primary weapons... Gtfo out. Sorry for the long post. I just miss the golden age if this game. All you had to do is fix two guns bungie. Thorn and TLW but instead you nerf everything in the game before you realize the problem.
-
Nope, don't miss them. With the right burns on the Nightfall, Fatebringer (for example) was basically Destiny God mode, and I'd argue that being able to breeze through end game content isn't that interesting. If we did have it back, I'd rather have an artifact that sacrifices your super to gain elemental damage in some way.
-
It added less variety cause all anyone used was raid wepons

Would not change my position on Destiny at this point. Would have, but no longer will it save this game for me. They removed my reason to grind raids. I no longer raid. I no longer see any reason to raid. Max light on each light increase without any raids. Reintroducing the 'bait' will not cause my interest to return. They felt it was necessary to remove the only weapons against shielded enemies without ammo limitations. They called it progress. Many agreed. I complained, fell on deaf ears. I decided to never complete another raid. I haven't, yet reach max light with very little effort. Because of weapon balance, there is absolutely no reason to crave any raid weapon. So, I'm missing what? Let's see: loss of aggravation, argument and hostility with lfg or other groups; no more frustrating 'runs'; no disappointment on Raid drops. Keep the elemental legendary primaries gone: I no longer care if they return. It's too late for me. Weapons are balanced now, no longer matters what you use in PVE: They are all equally ineffective!

elemental damage should be based off subclass and light should affect this rather than a "light level" honestly. So at 350 light you get 5% of the damage you do as an elemental(based on sub) where 400 light would give you 30% of damage as elemental and maybe have the % be determined differently based on weapon type. This could allow for "variety" (bungie I'm glaring at you) and would make more sense as your light increases the potency of you light in the form of elemental damage would rise( flames burn hotter for example) now for specials and heavies this same theme would apply of increased damage (to a lesser degree because of there higher base damage values). classes could have trees expanded so subclasses make you more proficient with the matching your sub's element (faster reloads, more surplus ammo) and/or perks on weapons/or subs that give bonus affects to using matching elements like fire burning npc enemies and preventing health regen in pvp(without burn) just a thought.
