Yeah, about that....
The week before rise of iron released they pretty much made all the super rare drops from the old raids drop every time.
We were running clanmates through power runs of both atheon and crota looking for mythoclasts and cruxes because they never had them drop before. They got them three times each that week.

My guess is it was just that week. We all saw huge increases in drops that week. Fate ringers, praetorian foils, zen meteors from random engram drops. Everything that week seemed to reward the stuff you never usually got.

That sounds incredibly unfair. Did they tell people about this? I was all over the forums that week and didn't see a single mention of it. If this is true, then they've essentially done their own stealth version of Black Friday. It's literally the ultimate dick move to all the people who did the raid 3 times each week, except for that one when they instead decided to use the XP buff to level up subclasses on their alts or something. Having one, non-advertised instance with an increased drop rate for these items does not excuse the general drop rate for these things in the goddamn slightest.
