If or better yet when, you meet a trans person, regardless of how you personally feel about them, at least show them the same respect you would show for anyone else. That means addressing them by their preferred pro-nouns (he, she, they, them, it) and name (self-explanatory).
It's easy, and it'll make you look like a much better person.

As long as they aren't actually dumb enough to think they can be both and or neither genders, or switch between genders on a whim, I will. Because those people are just.. UUUUUGH.
-
Ok that's easy. I hate everyone and nobody deserves any respect
-
I have a transgender friend, it was awkward calling him by his preferred pronoun at first; but I got used to it. If you are a trans person reading this, give us cisgender folks time to adjust. Just an FYI, calling a transgender "it" is offensive. So if you know a trans person you wish to stay on good terms with, now you know. On the flip side, now you have a word to express trans prejudice with.
-
If I meet a Trans person I curse them out
-
ive never seen one
-
I respect those who deserve it. If I mistake someone's pronouns, and they politely correct me I would give them respect. If they turn around and call me a racist sexist cis white male scum who needs to die then I leave.
-
I'll call you whatever I damn well want? What you gon' do about it?
-
I will not honor the worthless, only those who deserve it.
-
If I knew them before all this shit happened, I'd call em whatever I did before that. If they don't like it they can leave
-
Wait aren't you the guy that said we should kill the disabled?
-
I will only show respect if they deserve it
-
You see, it's not possible. How am I supposed to know that they're a nonbinary otherkin dragon overlord supergender? That's impossible to know without them telling me first.
-
If it's guy wanting to be a chick I will call him a he until he gets the surgery, until you cut off your cock your a He, and ladies wanting to be dudes need to have a duck before I call them he, my point is my pronoun depends on the parts you currently have
-
yeah... if its a guy, I'm calling then a guy...whether they dream of being a girl or not. Its disgusting and an abomination.

Edited by I Love Mai Waifu: 9/14/2016 11:15:08 PMI'd call the person by whatever pronouns I think they are by looking at them. If I can't tell I'll ask. If they say something that's not part of the English language I'll stop conversing because at that point I've realized they're too crazy to talk to.
-
I love when people who think they have the moral high ground try to dictate what I say and do in a free society. I have a question for you. Is 1984 your favorite book?

Edited by steg567: 9/14/2016 2:42:03 PMYou know what I don't get. If someones given name was john but the guy said "please call me jack" most everyone would call him jack because its the polite thing to call someone by their preferred name. But if someone changes gender people refuse to call them by their preferred name, such as people refusing to call caitlin jenner anything but bruce.
-
There are only two genders then a mix of both if and only if you are equally both.

Edited by whoops: 9/14/2016 8:34:58 AMWhy do people hate transgenders anyway?
-
If you were born male, you'll be called a "he". If born a female, you'll be called a "she". If you consider yourself to be transgender, you won't be called either. In fact, you won't be spoken to unless absolutely necessary. I don't associate with that sort of handicap, nor do I accept it.
-
No. I will not enable their insane delusion.
-
If someone is biologically a male, but tell me they identify as a female, I will disagree with them (respectfully), and that's just something they will have to deal with.
-
Sure, I'll be courteous to whatever trans person I come across, provided they make it very clear what they are; but forgive me if I call someone who looks, talks and acts like a girl, well, a girl; and then they get offended at me over it.
But the second somebody says they identify as a wombat: I'm out
-
But there is only 2 genders
