This is not a good idea. You can't stop players from making trades for real money. There are people right now making real money carrying others through trials and this would not be any different.

It's not unfair. It requires a decent amount of materials. If people want to spend their real money on stuff they can always do that with everything if they are too lazy to play games properly. It's not mainly money for items it would be money + a shit ton of materials for a weapon/armor piece in your scenario when it doesn't require money at all.

I didn't say unfair, I said not a good idea. You may not care but some people don't want to see video game gear sold for real money. "Hey I'll trade you that gun you want via $20 via paypal" doesn't sound right.
-
Well its not really bought. There is a limited amount of loot in the game and alot of people owning and getting doubles that could be traded. They are more than willing to give their stuff up for a few materials. Meaning there is always someone who'll sell for less materials so there is no place for real money transactions.

The limited items is the biggest reason you will nevet see trading in Destiny.
-
Well people are lazy and impatient. Others aren't and could need the extra materials. It's the best for both with no need to pay real money and everyone can keep playing.
-
Destiny has been out for a few years and worked out fine so far without trading. It's not going to be added just because some people are lazy.
-
Well there are buffs and alot of nerfs cause people are too lazy to become better and instead cry about it.
