Let us thank the developers for making a dream come true. This is a huge step forward, a historical milestone indeed. The "competitive" scene - but not exclusively by far! - is greatly embracing the new private lobbies and the features to tweak the games and thus looking forward to Rise of Iron! Lots of people will remain loyal to the game, a huge amount of players are sure to make their comeback. Many many thanks!

It'll be cool, if they add SRL to the private matches gametype list.
-
Super pumped to play games with my friends and have fun killing each other.

Edited by Thane: 8/18/2016 5:32:20 AM"A huge amount of players will make a comeback" ...... Not even funny. Nothing is easier than hating on Bungie at this point and they've made it even easier. They never really clarified why it took so long to be added in the first place, but the following monkeys sure like to nod. One good thing though, now you're gonna keep lagging with two full teams of your buddies.

They're private matches not custom games get it right man
-
Good now the sweats can stay out of normal crucible and snipe to their hearts content.

Can you do a 6v6 private match elimination? If not, your party can create a quasi-elimination match by everyone agreeing that when you die they have to go to a corner and watch til the match is over. Bam, you got an elimination match. My friends and I are already brainstorming how we'll self customize our matches (blues only, specific weapon only, no revive, grenades only, melee only). Most will be totally stupid, but completely fun, because it's with friends. We can do a pyramid challenge mode where one player is chosen to be by themselves until they die. The match will start 1v1. If they survive it goes to 1v2, then 1v3, 1v4, 1v5, 1v6. The one can have radar, where the other players go no HUD. the one wins by beating 1v6. Each player in the party has a shot at being the one. At the end, each kill as a 'one' is one point. The most points is the winner of the tournament. If it's still too hard to beat 1v6, more handicaps can be added to the other players, like no supers, no specials, no heavy, whatever. If you have half an imagination, private matches has endless possibilities.

Im dissapointed i cant play 6v6 elimination.

Edited by Annihilator_HD: 8/17/2016 12:34:23 PMI never understood people who have played since year 1 and NOW give up on destiny... Like wtf every dlc is better than the last story/pve-wise Now the private matches are enough reason to come back honestly. Not even speaking about the sick story, new locations, A NEW RAID.. Just can't understand the hate. People who are playing since year 1 clearly enjoy the game so stopping now is beyond my comprehension. It's the final episode of the current journey. For example on IGN people are purely disgusted by everything in this game suddenly

Free reach arounds!
-
Let's play mike Mayers like cod4 dayz
-
Ammo count, ammo timers, no supers....just three of the things we'll probably never get.
-
They're private matches.... Not CUSTOM GAMES like the halo franchise has had for years.
-
Iron banner anyone?
-
So anyone for 1v1 on bastion? Kappa
-
I do like the way ROI is going. I just really really REALLY hope they add a function to recustomize a character, or add more to them.
-
I'm very much like macaroni and cheese
-
Now if only we could get infinite ammo set up...I still want me some sword fights
-
Yes, amazing! Thank you bungle. Now if only we had a game with a decent frame rate, DEDICATED servers, something to play with other then the two weapon types, snipers and shotguns and no cheating it would almost be a good game! Hell, they might even consider a far-fetched idea like match making.
-
Nah. This was already going to be implemented. It is nice to have the game feel more complete finally after 2 years though.
-
It till be great fun to fool around and take part in small tournaments but Destiny is really far from being a competitive ESport
-
Looking forward to Gallly only Mayhem Rift
-
I really am thankful it's coming and really excited for all the new content but I know where everyone else is coming from with the "took you long enough" dialogue. Gg bungie, you kept me this long and I'm looking forward to everything RoI has to offer.

The amount of salt in this thread. I mean, in all fairness, yes--it was super aggravating to go from Halo: Reach's Forge and Custom Games to Destiny's comparatively tiny multiplayer options. I've been wanting this, too. But they did at least guarantee it, and it sets the groundwork for more options in the game modes and such. It's a late step, but it is forward in direction.

Now ppl can boost stats :(
