The move away from last gen

It's sad but I can see why they are doing it. When you release a game on 2 different generations of consoles you almost always have to compromise making the game as good as it can be so that it works well for the last gen. With this move away from last gen Bungie can focus on pushing the current gen to it's max without compromise. However I do not believe Bungie should be making this change now. Destiny requires expansions and DLC for it's longevity and by moving away from last gen now means they have cut the profits they would have made from this DLC by a large portion as not everyone owns the current generation of consoles and anyone who wants to buy this new expansion needs to pay over $300 for the console and likely $80 for the DLC as they need to buy Destiny all over again. And to add more to this cost Playstation 3 players will now need to pay to play Destiny as Playstation+ is now a requirement. Destiny 1 was released for both generations of consoles therefor Destiny 1 in it's entirety, DLC included should be available for both generations. Bungie should be making the move away from last gen for Destiny 2 not during Destiny 1's life cycle. It's a slap in the face for all those who thought buying Destiny for their PS3 or 360 would let them play that game all the way to the end. Do you agree with this or do you have a good reason for what Bungie are doing?
