Alright, I have very little clue when it comes to pc's so go easy on me. I'm looking to spend $2k maximum on a build

Hell you could spend maybe $100 more and get the already released 1080 and be set for 1080p and 1440p gaming with ease. Edit: I forgot they both use less power as well.
