Programs that bring us the art of destiny

Cozmo, I hate to bother you again. Considering you just replied to my other post in feedback earlier in the week, I'm probably becoming a nuisance now. None the less, I'm a year from graduation with a bachelors in game development from my local university and I'm really curious what the majority of your devs prefer to use to model the assets we see in game? I'm currently using Maya but I've heard good things about 3ds for game modeling. Personally, I would like to know what the hard surface modelers prefer and maybe the other high poly modelers. I want to get more into high poly at the moment and expand my knowledge of high poly modeling in general. It would be great to know what they use to bake the meshes as well. Substance painter? Or something else? The assets in game are so gorgeous and inspiring, as a game development student, it's always nice to find out more about how they have been created. Some answers to these questions and anything else you would like to disclose would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Cozmo!
