I love Morrowind...but I've always thought Skyrim was just boring, and repetitive, and un-rewarding and lackluster...I don't know...won't understand why it's so loved.
Also, with things like The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Mass Effect, espically Mass Effect 2, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, and Xenoblade Chronicles X, which are all amazing games, and rip Skyrim to shreds...I don't see why Skyrim's still considered pretty much the best game ever still.

Edited by qy: 3/17/2016 7:05:23 PMVanilla Skyrim is... Good. Skyrim how I play it, with 256+ mods affecting gameplay, each facet of combat, player and npc animations, new quests, gore, skill uncapper and new high level enemies, brand new locations, replacers to make unique weapons truly unique, hundreds of new and interesting npcs, thousands of new weapons and armors, a flora overhaul, spot-on enb lighting effects, plus hundreds of 2k, 4k, and even 8k texture packs... I quite like it.

I mean, I haven't played it for years, but it's still my favourite game of all time.
-
By far the worst elder scrolls.
-
You are wrong.
-
Got every achievement in skyrim. I can't even look at the game anymore....

I was obsessed with it when it first came out. I did basically everything possible. However, now that I've done it all, I honestly can't go back and enjoy it anymore. Even with mods. I've played all five games, and a little bit of Battlespire and Redguard. I'd say Morrowind and Oblivion were more enjoyable. Not to say Skyrim wasn't. But yeah.
-
It's great, but not spectacular. It's still one of my favorites.

What's with the &#% where ' should be on mobile?

Skyrim is certainly a great game but it isn't as great as most people say it is.
and, xenoblade <33333
Edited by Cappy: 3/17/2016 3:29:36 PMFor me, it was an introduction into the series. So while it may very well be bland and lacking in comparison to others, I have a subjective, nostalgic bias towards it and love it. I may have had some annoyances here and there (I felt immersed in the Thieves Guild quest especially, and then characters I really liked in Karliah and Brynjolf just either don't talk to me or use the same dialogue after the questline), but overall I really loved the experience. It is my favorite game overall to date to date. That doesn't change the fact that I would be interested in seeing later Bethesda games return to more complex systems liked you described were in Morrowind, Oblivion, or even past Fallout games. I played Fallout 4, and it seems to solidify my suspicions that Bethesda is getting lazy and substituting legitimate and interesting quests, lore, and exploration for radiant quests. Fallout 4, while enjoyable, has a third of the quests in Skyrim. But it's not quality vs quantity. - it's the same type of quests. But with their radiant quests forced on you even more than Skyrim. If they could take settlement building and the companion system, with a new engine, and the previous suggestions, that'd be perfect for me. Especially in TES, since I prefer it to Fallout.

Me normaly no its feels like a good game Me after encountering 2 dragons or getting critacal killed by an orc Fml

Edited by SealTheDeal: 3/16/2016 1:21:15 AMSometimes. While there are likable aspects of it, I don't know if it deserves as much praise as it does.
-
I love Skyrim, and I don't have mods. Just the random glitches make the game hysterical and fun.
-
Wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as Oblivion in my opinion.
-
Download some mods..... Lots of mods. Skyrim can be any game you want really
-
I've never liked Bethesda games all that much. They're never very engaging and the side quests tend to be the only interesting things in their games besides the lore.
-
It's a big fat helping of Meh
-
It's great for a dumbed down elder scrolls
-
I never liked it.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/17/2016 3:02:39 PMMy favorite series in general is Mass Effect, but only because of the level of character interaction and development. There is something about open world Bethesda games that I just love though. Skyrim is great, but for different reasons.

With 200+ mods it's average
-
It's boring as hell
-
Bump...epicness.

Bump/

Worst of the five TES games, but it's still alright.

For me making crazy characters and role playing those characters was a lot of fun. That's some advice from me, choose what you want to be and do in a fun way. I made a murderous Orc thief for my first character. Hilarious! I went to white run and tried to kill the store keep of the blacksmith at the front gate. I cinematically killed the guy but sadly found out that he didn't drop the stuff he sold. So I went out side and was chased past the farms outside of town. I escaped with barely any health left and killed 3 wolves. Not to mention trying to dodge the many arrows flying every few seconds. You should try to have fun with games, cause a lot of people forget that they need to at least try.
