thinking should I run away from home to trace Satan, Jesus, or God. Run away to apprentice Jesus's powers to help others.
You see...here's where you jumped the fence.
Yes, there are a lot of connections and various over-lappings between the numerous religions that have risen and fallen over time, but where the bloody hell did this part come from?

The decision came from his need to be a special snowflake, his need to imbue his life with meaning and gay shit like that lol.

It annoys me because it was me. Sort of. On a kind of different level. Also, the shit I sort of almost believed in was almost believable. Almost. Sort of.

Do tell

I told that other guy, I think.

Edited by Masque of Night: 2/11/2016 3:13:29 AMI don't mock those who choose to give their life meaning through faith, to an extent I have chosen that path for myself as well. However, it is something I consider a personal duty to advise against decisions that would likely be hazardous to the one making them. I'd say a fourteen year old running off to who knows where to hunt down Jesus doesn't sound like a very safe plan.
-
I mock it because that was me lol. And it's not actual faith. There's a huge difference there. His is fueled by some fantasy he dreamed up. Mine was fueled by the delusions of a schizophrenic. A really funny schizophrenic. I'm not an atheist. Atheism is retarded. But I also don't believe that Obama is actually the antichrist, nor do I believe that the Fresh Prince is a reptilian. Unless that is the truth, in which case, :(
-
I find the lines between faith, fantasy and delusion to be blurry at best, since all of them are based in concepts beyond physical reality. Faith primarily seems more validated in the eyes of most because of how it's evolved and become more universally accepted over time, but really, there's very little tangible evidence backing any of it, much like the delusions or fantasies of an ailing mind. It's for this reason very few "new" faiths are able to gain ground nowadays, because we live in an era where people are much more skeptical of claims without evidence and much more knowledgeable of our physical, natural world. And that being said, i'm sure a few people out there would think my way is abnormal, strange, or crazy. I suppose for this reason it's a rarity for me to deliberately belittle or mock someone with unusual beliefs as long as they aren't causing any harm to themselves or others. As I stated earlier, I do advise against OP's plan because it's unnecessarily risky and potentially hazardous to his well-being, but I see no point in doing anything beyond that.

New Age belief is worst belief. I r8 0/8 w/ much h8.

Edited by Masque of Night: 2/11/2016 3:40:19 AMWhat is old was once new, just as what is new will one day become old. Age does not necessarily dictate validity or invalidity, merely how long something has been thus far.
-
I'm talking about the actual New Age belief system. The one about the -blam!-ing dumb indigo kids.
-
Had to look that up to know what you were talking about. I didn't read too in depth into it, but it's basically about kids with "psychic" or "supernatural" abilities?
-
lol yeah. It's dumbest of all ever.
-
Belief in psychic or supernatural powers is nothing new or strange, the bulk of ancient mythology that isn't about the various cultural deities are about champions or heroes with supernatural abilities.

I want to apprentice his powers

Edited by Masque of Night: 2/11/2016 3:03:23 AMAnd i'd like to learn how to shapeshift from Loki while having a philosophical chat with Anubis about the Egyptian afterlife, but you can probably guess what won't be happening to me anytime soon. Listen, you're young and impressionable. You noticed the similarities between a handful of different faiths and mythologies, and that's very observant of you. These subjects are well worth studying. And if you still want to run off and go Jesus hunting later down the line when you're a full-fledged adult, then by all means, go out and do it. But right now? Probably not the best, or most "sane" idea.
-
OK I will look further into my decision

It would be wise to do so. Patience is a virtue. Even if you decide to follow through with whatever you're planning, it'll be easier for you once you're older and more experienced or mature, if you still consider it a good idea by then. Our ideas can change a lot with age.
