Hunt for The Hawkmoon
Hello there. First ever use of this app on Fourm, if this is in the wrong place apologies.
Topic my hunt for the Hawkmoon.
Been playing destiny a lot recently with Banner and I'm really enjoying it and in my efforts I've begun to find the style of play and character I wish to build.
Hence I'm now on the hunt for the Hawkmoon, I've looked at a number of articles on this, some more helpful than others. But I figured it can't hurt to ask the other Guardians out there that may have tips to help me locate my gun of choice.
Any advice will be welcome and I want to [b][u]EARN[/u][/b] this prize and am not work shy.

9 RepliesEdited by Sherpa: 1/31/2016 5:57:19 AMOption One Three of Coins from xur Grind strikes activating a ToC at each boss (except psion flayers) Hope for exotic primary Go to cryptarch Hope for hawkmoon Option 2 Raids Activate a three of coins at Warpriest, Golgoroth, and each shade of oryx Hope for exotic primary and then hawkmoon Hope that the challenge mode gives you hawkmoon Hope the chest after Golgoroth gives hawkmoon Option 3 Nightfall Pray for hawkmoon Pop Three of coins and repeat previous related steps Hope end strike reward is hawkmoon Option 4 Wait for xur to sell it Option 5 Crucible Activate a three of coins before every game. Hope you win and hope for an exotic primary engram three of coins work by being activated then in your next ultra kill (strike boss and raid bosses) or crucible win you have a chance for them to drop an exotic engram. The best use is to activate one three of coins at a time. Example: Step 1 activate ToC Step 2 play a strike kill the boss Step 3 launch another strike without activating ToC Step 4 activate ToC once at the boss encounter kill boss Step 5 repeat steps 3 and 4 Example during raid Step 1 get to Warpriest Step 2 activate ToC Step 3 kill him Step 4 get to Golgoroth Step 5 activate ToC when he is at half health Step 6 kill him Step 7 get all the way to oryx and activate a ToC before the first shade round Step 8 activate a new ToC at the next safe moment before a new shade until oryx is dead Edit: You can also run year one content such as VoG, Crota, and PoE in hopes of getting a year 1 hawkmoon this will unlock the year 2 version for you in the weapons kiosk Edit 2: Legacy engrams from Xur are another way to get the year one versions and unlock the year 2 variant in your weapons kiosk

Use three of coins in weekly heroic strikes with the vanguard streak active. That's probably your best bet.

1 ReplyHawkmoon is not the beast it used to be. Accuracy on that weapon has been greatly reduced :/. But i use hawkmoon cause its my favorite but only in pvp. Btw weekly crucible bounties, raid chest,nightfall and 3oc can award you one

Play the Nightfall and get your free weekly 290 ghost, while you're at it. [b]Pro Tip: Hawkmoon is not as good as it used to be. I have more kills with Hawkmoon than any other weapon. It was my baby, and Bungie betrayed it. At this moment in time, it is not worth the effort of grinding.[/b] [i]Edit: My recent PvE kill spree to try to get used to TLW again has changed that. Oddly enough, I still hate TLW.[/i]

Use 3 of coins and go get that primary engram. One of them should be hawkmoon.
