Are Foundries the key to balanced pvp, true tournaments, and destiny as an esport?

So here's an idea. We all know that Destiny has a constant issue with its pvp, with everyone always crying foul over weapons and abilities being too op or too weak. So what if Destiny used foundries for balanced weapons used in certain pvp modes to give everyone a more balanced experience? Kind of like what other fps games offer with their class systems, where you mix and match guns, scopes, and perks, only you select from a set line up of weapons offered from each foundry, and choose from their selection. For example: before a match, you set up a "loadout". You go in and select Suros, and choose one of their options for a primary weapon, tweak it with the perks and scopes, basic stuff. Then you go and choose a secondary, let's say Hakke, and decide on some shotgun. Same stuff, switch out some perks and scopes; you get the idea. As for armor, they could do something similar to how they did Sparrow racing and have it be more for cosmetics, and have everyone wear the same kind of armor without perks (differing with subclasses) while offering legendary pieces for use in other game modes. Players could keep their subclasses for using their super and abilities, and Bungie could decide whether they can customize their armor, recovery, and agility (though it would likely be better to keep it equal across the board). They could even do it as some sort of event at first, just to get everyone's opinions on it, whether it could work, and where they'd need to improve. In any case, it would be offering a more raw and skill based mode that is currently missing from the game, even with Iron Banner and Trials. Just an idea, but I think it's doable. What do you Guardians think?

 • Bump. Fantastic idea. Now the best thing to do is coordinate fire teams that will do this. Racing suits with legendary weapons only. Tweak

 • Bump. Its probably how we'd have to do custom matches anyways.

 • If we could set up different playlist, one for exports *with restrictions* and then for regular non-restricted crucible, then implement custom games.
But that's none of my business
