If Ghosts can resurrect their fallen Guardians....how do Guardians finally die?

In addition to what Agent Wyoming said, the Cabal and Awoken found that airstrikes can kill ghosts, and also keep guardians permanent dead. It's usually hard to kill ghost only because they're cloaked.

So, to put it simply, Guardians and their ghosts are like sci-fi versions of the Crow. I was wondering if that was the case but I didn't have any sources on the matter.

you know how you can be consumed by darkness? that basically means that while you are in a weakened state, the darkness slowly peels away your light, causing your ghost to not have a source of light to siphon the energy to resurrect you from. your ghost and you die at nearly the same instant.
