You still have people use those perks on their guns. They just use a much smaller variety of guns because only 1 gun they have rolled those.

Because it destroyed weapon variety. Everyone grabbed the best gun at the time and rerolled it for god tier perks. Look at hopscotch and matador 64 from HoW era. Now excluding exotics which are set. Very few people use carbon copies of each others guns. You might have a powerful pulse rifle but with bad perks so my good rolled hancannon might win. This creates variety and diversity in the game. Instead of printed weapons.

IB auto rifle. IB pulse. Quest Conspiracy Theory. Vendor 1k Stare. Vendor Hawksaw. Vendor Hung Jury. Gunsmith weapons. It's very rare that the Heavy weapon killing me isn't a raid machine gun or IB machine gun or Truth. Occasionally you'll see something else, but it's like 15 to 1 because drops with good perks are so rare. If reforging were a thing, I'd have an Imago Loop, an Eyasluna, a Red Spectre, a Treads Upon Stars, a Last Extremity, a Tamarind, a Ruin Wake, a Revelator.. Instead, those and many more weapons are instant dismantles. I liked rerolling weapons to have good perks and testing them out. Can't do that anymore, so basically everything becomes legendary marks as soon as I see it.

And you make a valid point but your forgetting the bad. Now imagine everyone rerolling for hiddenhand ambush 1kys. Or maxed range rangefinder conspiracy theory. How about a perfect stability hawksaw? Or an ashfactory with tripod and proc det everywhere. These were the big issues with rerolling in house of wolves. If they brought it back there has to be some restrictions put in place so these issues don't come back

At least it would level the playing field. Why should one have access to it and not others. You know all everyone is using is stock 1000 yard stare and the conspiracy theory. How has that added to weapon balance>? It HASN'T. Iron banner is dead.Weapon diversity is dead. Trials is dying...... Adept weapons that can't be re made? Yawn

Funny because even in old trails adapt weapons couldn't be reforged. And two I'm sorry I don't need a participation trophy playing destiny. If I want a gun that bad I will grind for it thats the point of this game. And I will say you are right on the quest hiven guns. That was a horrible idea to have implemented
