It's really annoying to have to wait for people to get on to form a group for Raids, Nightfalls and Heroic strikes, especially since we can't go to a public area like the Tower and recruit due to the voice chat restrictions imposed in the game. Not to mention it's hard to find people of the right level as well. Matchmaking would make this so much easier and make getting gear and leveling it less of a hassle. The Matchmaking could look for players of similar level to match you with to make sure you're not going in with anyone too low to survive, as well as balance the group by diversifying the classes, bringing in 2 of each class for raids (2 titan, 2 warlock, 2 hunter) and one of each for the Nightfall and Heroic strikes. While on the topic of Strikes, it would also behoove the player base if we could finally be able to voice chat with our random fire team members instead of having to form parties through the dashboard (X360 and XB1 versions). This should also be allowed in the Tower as well so those who are looking to form specific groups of people for Raids can do so much easier by simply talking to those around them. Being able to openly communicate with others is a staple of MMOs. Not allowing us to do is counter intuitive towards the game play in Destiny. Also, we should be able to choose the difficulty of the Raids between normal and hard. The same goes for regular strikes as well. We should be able to play strikes up to level 30 as well as difficulty modifiers for players to challenge themselves. The higher the level and difficulty modifiers, the greater the rewards. With the addition of PoE, matchmaking should be added for all modes of that activity as well, not just level 28.

Why am I not allowed to even try? I've put probably 1,500 hours into destiny because I really enjoy it, I do a ton of strikes and patrols and farming and such. I find all of that really fun. I've always wanted to do raids and nightfalls but I can't do them because I can't get a group. I have all the expansions but I've never done a hard mode raid, crota, skolas, or the kings fall raid. All because grouping up is next to impossible. I HATE lfg websites with a passion because they don't work worth a damn and take forever. The other option is joining a clan, but if you join a small clan you need to be able to work on their schedule, which is not doable for me and for most other players. If you join a big clan, then everything is really impersonal and you're still going to be playing with people you've never talked to before and may as well be random. If you find people in that big clan that you can tolerate, then you can add them, but what are the odds of you being able to put them all together into a fireteam at the same time? All I'm saying is, putting a group together is simply not feasible for many players (Hence the reason this topic has so many posts). How hard is it to just put a switch in there somewhere that I can flip when I want to have matchmaking, and flip it off when I want to use a group? I love this game so much that I would literally be willing to pay the price of another expansion just to get matchmaking. It is not even possible for me to care less about doing poorly in a nightfall or raid with a pick up group. I would just be happy that after all this time, endgame content is no longer kept from me. I also don't really understand the players who are opposed to this, turning matchmaking off would just leave everything exactly like it is now. It seems like the only people who oppose matchmaking (Even though optional matchmaking would have absolutely no effect on them whatsoever) are people who have clans or IRL friends, or magically have luck getting groups on 3rd party websites and the recruitment forum. There is absolutely no argument against simply letting people try. EDIT: With regards to AFKers, would it really be that difficult to autokick somebody who hasnt moved in more than a few minutes? Or failing that, to simply offer a prompt, to the active players, to kick the person who is allegedly AFK?
