If I may add a little to this. It is true that when you go from xbox 360 to xbox 1 you will need to rebuy taken king as it doesn't qualify for the digital upgrade

HOWEVER the dark below and House of wolves do! So if you have them they will be upgraded. ALSO depending when you bought destiny. If you bought the digital edition before Jan 2015. That actually qualifies as well for a free upgrade. So if all those are the cases then you would only need to pick up TTK,
Just a small caveat though. There is not much precdence for allowing dlc to transfer over when a console generation switches. And most games that had a game on say xbox 1 to xbox 360 you would have to buy again. This isn't really them being greedy. the offered the first 2 dlcs as a free upgrade but it was a limited time offer as they knew people were still thinking of transferring over consoles and they felt at year 2 was a good cut off point for this.

And the only thing stopping me is a paywall. And if you look in my bought items on Xbox or purchase history, you'd see its still there. Only bought on 360 but its still there, as proof that I bought said dlc. So switching consoles, would completly shut out everything I bought on the 360? Is that what you're telling me.

They told me, I need to rebuy the ttk for Xbox one even though I have it on 360. That "it's tied with consoles" which would require me buying dlc twice. Even if there is some legitimate excuse as of why that is with the tech of the Xbox, I am still not going to because I'm not wasting my money buying a 40$ dlc again.

Well to be fair it's not really a technical issue. It's a different console basically. It's always been when you buy a new console you lose the things you had for the last console. At least they were trying to buffer the switch with the first 2 dlc's for people. Though realistically even with good reason 40 dollars IS 40 dollars. It's kind of expensive if you have no income. so It's understandable to hesitate to want to drop that kind of money again. OH but as a heads up but don't buy the used versions that you see floating around. that will just be the base vanilla destiny as the ttk is a dlc code and it will have been redeemed already in the pre-owned copies.
