After about 6 months of use my cheap Xbox one headset stopped working. I can hear others, but they can't hear me. So now I'm looking at getting a nicer over the ear headset and I'm curious to hear everyone's opinions. I want something that is obviously good quality and the best value.
Is the 7.1 surround really worth it, does it make that big of a difference?
What brands do you like?
What should I look for in a headset?
Just curious about your thoughts.
I really only play fps's and would love to be able to use the headset so I can mute the tv.
Thanks

Edited by Martiis: 11/27/2015 8:47:12 PMYour best option is getting a pair of quality studio headphones and attaching a separate mic to them, such as the ModMic 4.0. 7.1 surround sound in headsets/headphones is pretty pointless to be honest, it's more of a marketing ploy than anything. A pair of open-back headphones will give the same effect as surround sound since they have such a large sound stage.
