Finally! I can get back to work on Back to the Future, and though I [i]did[/i] have fun writing up intermissions for the time being, it's time to get this train a-rollin' again! Steve whined as he flopped onto the living room couch, burying his face between two pillows. Amy climbed the couch and had a seat next to him, kicking her legs lightly back and forth. "There's nothing to wowwy about." Amy tried to comfort her older brother, giving him a smile so wide, Steve would be able to see her missing teeth if he was paying attention to her. "You don't get it, they're gonna come back, and it's gonna be all over the news, and I'm gonna get in [i]so[/i] much trouble!" Steve continued to whine, burying his face deeper into the pillows. Amy frowned, watching her brother continue to complain. "Whatevew, I hope you suffocate in there." Amy mumbled, reaching for the remote that lied on the arm of the couch. ____________________________ "Stop right here." The Warlock ordered her team, as she braked her Sparrow and dismounting it, walking to the side of the empty street. "What is it?" The Hunter said, braking and dismounting his Sparrow to follow the Warlock. "It appears to be a sign." The Warlock said, eyeing the square sign. "Uh, well no duh. But what's it say?" The Hunter scoffed, putting a hand on his hip. "Yeah, what's it say?" The Titan said holding an open box of doughnuts as he finally caught up to the others, all of their Sparrows de-materializing. "Ghost, light this up for me if you please." The Warlock called her Ghost. "On it~." Her Ghost said as he materialized into the air. "Aaaaand, here you are." He said, lighting up the sign. The Warlock read the large numbers on the sign. "Forty-five." The Warlock announced to her team. "It reads forty-five." "Well, what the heck is that supposed to mean?" The Hunter asked rhetorically. "I don't know..." The Warlock sighed. While the Hunter an Warlock were trying to ascertain what the sign meant, the Titan looked around until he spotted two bright lights in front of him in the distance . "Oh look, lights!" The Titan said, pointing away at the lights. ____________________________ "So anyway, the guy [i]seemed[/i] nice, but if you've had [i]five[/i] wedding rings you can pretty much [i]guess[/i] what's up." A female teen chattered away on her phone, driving her car. "I mean, how crazy is that?" She continued, neglecting to keep her eyes on the road. "I'm just saying, somebody like that shouldn't--" Her call was interrupted once she looked up again to see three [i]things[/i] nearing her. "WHAT IN THE WORLD?!" She screeched, slamming her foot on the brake pedal, making the car roughly stop. ____________________________ "It's one of those vehicles from the Cosmodrome." The Warlock said, backing away slightly. "And it's [i]active[/i]. How far did we go?" "That must mean somebody's inside!" The Titan exclaimed, approaching the vehicle and planting both of his hands on the hood of it. "Hey, uh, we kind of need your help!" He addressed the driver. Inside, the woman was scared stiff, half of it was from the fact that there were things standing in the middle of the road, and the other half was from the fact that she could've ran one of them over, [i]tarnishing[/i] her driver's reputation. "A-ah..." The teen was speechless, her quivering hands still gripping the steering wheel. Now there was one of [i]those[/i], touching her car, and [i]talking[/i] to her. "Dude you're freaking her out!" The Hunter said, approaching the driver's window, tapping on it with a gloved finger. "'Ey, lady! How about a ride?" He asked, waving. "GAH!" She shrieked, finally letting go of the steering wheel and reaching for the buttons on the door of the car to lock all of the doors. And, leaning to the side of her driver's seat, she removed her other hand from the steering wheel and moved it on the floor frantically, searching for her phone. "Wait, wait, he didn't mean it!" The Titan said, removing his hands from the car hood and waving them frantically. "We're just... Uh..." He thought for a moment, trying to come up with an explanation as to why they looked how they did in the first place. "We're from...
