Teach a scrub to snipe?
Clearly, 1k yard stare is [i]the[/i] sniper to use.
But how does one successfully get headshots in crucibru?
What scope? What's this whole thing about aim assist?
I haven't used snipers and after last week's Tryals, I want to .. [b][i]need[/i][/b].. to learn or flawless ain't gonna happen.
What do?

If you get to a sniper lane first, make sure you know where the head will be. After that, it's usually a free kill of you have decent reflexes.

There's no real way to "teach a scrub how to snipe". Each player has their own tendencies and preferences, the best thing you can do is just keep playing and finding out what's suites your style of play. For most people the beginning of figuring that out is going to suck but the more you play the better you'll get

Learn the maps well, especially sight lines. Condition yourself that when you aim down your scope you will be aiming at head level. And be patient. Don't panic when someone is in sight and just shoot. Take that extra half second to align the scope to get the headshot.

1 Reply1) Aim for the head. You can crouch to steady yourself. 2) Shortgaze. It will help you pop heads easier. Ambush is good if you want less aim assist. I don't use any other scope than those. 3) Helps your aim. 4) Practice on Elimination
