tonight's the night! As with any great upcoming game, Destiny is set to have Midnight Launches at nearly every retailer in the USA and abroad. If you're new to midnight releases, here are some tips; [spoiler]1. Some retailers, such as GameStop will allow customers to pay off their copy at some point on the day of the midnight release, so they can simply come back at midnight, with their spot in line held, and pick it up at their turn. For GameStop in this instance, they will allow you to pay off your copy starting at 6PM. 2.If you pay off your copy beforehand, [b]DO NOT LOSE[/b] your receipt. Without it, they can not release the game to you. That is your proof that you purchased it. 3. Bring a friend, or go in a group. Unfortunately, some people like to target individuals for robbery while they're walking home from a midnight release. Some people have even held up customers waiting in line outside the store, hence why at my GameStop location we now have a patrol car sitting outside the store on most midnight launches. Try to get a ride home if you don't have one. Especially if you will be buying anything pricey. 4.Bring any games or systems you'd like to trade in, when you pay off your copy. Many retailers will be running promotions to give you extra in-store credit when you trade in at the time of paying off your copy. 5. Show up early. Most retailers will raffle off prizes or have giveaways for the people waiting in line, for most big game releases. Destiny is certainly no exception. 6. Show your pride, support the game! Wear that geeky video game shirt, we're all nerds here. 7. Bring febreeze. Sorry but it has to be said. Some of the people you meet while waiting in line, [i]will stink[/i]. You've been warned.
