honestly it is worth the slot, i have done test with all current exotics and the only thing that comes close to rivaling the gun is black spind. People are upset its not gally 2.0 but honestly im glad. So many relied on gally to beat everything, hell i remember being booted from raids because i did not have gally for the longest time.

If you do the math even with a few thousand damage less because of the ability to hold more sniper ammo and the reload perk. On golgoth you're looking at half the damage with SS. It's like 1.3 mil damage with a full magazine verse maybey 600k+ and yes that give or take on both depending on how many shots fired. But I can tell you right now I can get far more shots off with spindle so until the improve the charge rate and up the ammo the SS will never be used on my characters unless it is specifically needed for a quest
