I have the spindle and 1000 yard stare before you talk me down but..
This raid needs a high-impact sniper to get it done quickly.
Warpriest: immobile with a huge crit spot and too far away to get close and damage
Golgoroth: immobile with a huge crit spot and too far for shotguns to not have damage fall-off
Daughters: immobile with huge crit spot and too far for other guns
Oryx: almost immobile (predicable movement) non-crit spot, but too far for other weapons except pulses/scouts to do work
Fusion rifles: only precision modifiers on non-majors, still not very good DPS wise
Shotguns: should at least be more viable on golgoroth..a dude who is right in front of you.
Sidearms: lol
Machine guns: not only does it use heavy ammo, but snipers still have more dps
Rocket launchers: unlike say atheon with a tiny crit spot, the crit spots are too big and immobile on these bosses to pass up for way more damage on easy-crit guns than a rocket launcher will put out
TL;DR
This raid made snipers way too good compared to the others and there is no weapon variety

Yeah, this is nothing new. Snipers have been more or less a necessity in all of the raids. Not quite sure if you could (or should) build a raid where sniper rifles and rocket launchers are not valid in beating a boss. How tough would a boss be if you could get close enough where fusion rifles, shotguns, machine guns and swords become safe to use effectively? Also, primary weapons should never be a first choice when facing a raid boss. Sniper rifles are a solid tactical choice for difficult opponents and I don't see much wrong with that.
