So I talked a buddy into getting Destiny after TTK dropped. And he fell in love with the game. He just recently got into his mid to late 20's levels, so I figured me and the clan would do some year one stuff to get him some decent level 20 gear. We did VoG first, just for nostalgia. He was getting lit up left and right while the other 4 of us did great (the rest of us were 40). At the end of it, he got Thunderlord. I told him it was a decent year one gun, I had it and it had served me well, ect. It boosted his light level from like 117 to 125ish. I decided to take him through PoE 28 next because it was late, plus he had a treasure key so I figured he could get some lvl 20 legendaries that would help replace his old weapons. This is where I flipped. He got Ghally from the chest. I know what everyone is thinking, "who cares now?". But it brought back the immense hatred I had for the weapon, doing raids, nightfall, ect for months just to get it. And he gets its as his 2nd exotic during his first week... Lol Anyone have similar stories?
