Just buy it. It's a great gun and strange coins are very easy to come by now.

How do you come by strange coins good sir? I've been having a hard time since the weekly was removed

I've just been grinding the heroic strikes with 3 of coin trying to get exotics. I got about 50 strange coins this week just playing 1 character.

Everything seems to give me strange coins now. I gained 58 last week.
