One shouldn't try to do anything important or reward-giving if you think the reset is going to happen in the middle of the event.
Even if it's not a bug, it still makes sense. Too many chances for exploitation somehow.

No chances for exploitation. If you have a mission started up before the reset it should count. You did work to complete it. You should get rewards.
-
There's a deadline though, rewards automatically reset at that deadline,
-
They should reset the rewards of the event but not reset the missions that are started. This whole thing was like "You'll get 100 dollars if you eat a turd. *I eat the turd* Ope never mind, you can't have it."
-
Ya but you had to eat that turd in 3 minutes, and it took you 4. Deadlines are deadlines my friend.
-
I didn't say the exploits would be obvious Just that I could foresee some sort of exploitable issue of a lingering mission that went past the tick-over date where it is no longer the Heroic or whatever. When you get a system to do something in opposition to how it was designed, weird-arsed stuff happens. In this case, something tagged as a heroic mission with heroic rewards that's past its deadline for being a heroic mission with heroic rewards. So it's possible this is intentional.
