I happened across it a couple days ago..... I figured he despawned because I ran out of the court. So I grabbed a couple buddies and we tried like 6 times to kill him but couldn't figure anything out without him being immune or despawning.
That being said I think he is the white knight you see talking to Oryx in one or two of the cut scenes.
