Do you like Rift?
Considering my name, I figured I may as well be the one to ask this :P

It's a true objective gamemode it is my new favorite

Personally, I find it enjoyable. Rift has been the only gamemode I've been playing in Crucible since 2.0 came out and its really fun because you gotta think about how to get the Spark to the other team's Rift (basically through a minefield since the other team will be at their rift as soon as your team picks it up). The only time I haven't had fun with it is when playing with people who don't know what to do. I've had a teammate who kept melee-ing me (I was the only person on my team who ever picked up the Spark the entire game) because I dared moved back to avoid an enemy who had his rocket launcher out and was waiting for me on the other side of a wall. Didn't matter though, as the enemy player just ran around the corner and kill both me and my annoying teammate with his rockets. To sum things up: Good gamemode to play but sucks when paired up with people know don't know how to play.

1 ReplyI find the only map good for it is Pantheon. This is because it is balanced on both sides. Most maps have horrible balancing for this game mode.

It's interesting. I find it hard (I wasn't the best at pvp anyway but I would say I am decent. Especially in team related ones such as control or rift. ) to space myself and get kills more than deaths. But then again that may just be because I always used tlw/red death in crucible. I can't seem to do well enough with red death so I have just been trying several different weapons and auto rifles. Very fun fast paced game though. I think instead of iron banner being control it should be rift now. Though that may just be my opinion.

Dude, I love crucible, I'm a big domination/control guy. I love the 3v3, but this is gonna have to grow on me. I haven't been able to understand how to approach the relic. Its frustrating, cause I want to like it

Take a look at the last couple games on my hunter. That's what it's like with a good team. If you get the first 3 Sparks and about 5 kills each the mercy rule kicks in and stops the game. About 2 out of the last 10 games I played have gone on until score cap. Most of them have been finished in 2 minutes cause of the mercy rule. It's gotten to the point where we let them score a rift just so the game can last longer and can get more kills.

The game mode itself is fun as hell. Makes for a lot of hectic encounters and requires thinking in order to score big points. It just sucks when you get in a game with people who really don't play Crucible at all and will run [i]away[/i] from the spark while it's charging or treat it like it's clash and just try to kill opponents.

The rift is not like all the other crucible matches where you can go in solo and do really well and win, especially when you have a single target to get and rush to the enemy side but try and go solo you will have head aches, frustration and possibly throwing your controller if you are a big crucible player. Other then that yea this new crucible event is really nice

First game: hated it It's grown on me though. I have yet to play with a good fireteam, I feel like it could be really fun with a good group

It's fun when you have a good team that isn't completely brain dead and is capable of more than just a point and shoot thought process. Idiots who just kill and only kill are such dead weight. The points given for blind killing need to be incredibly low; lower than it already is. I wish randoms would at least try to defend or something, they don't even kill with the objective in mind!!! My lord randoms can be stupid. This isn't like the other modes people. You might have to think just a little. When I play with friends, we run in formations and it generally works the majority of the time. its so fun executing a flawless play, backflipping into the enemy rift, and dancing on their ashes.

It was weird I went in solo and had absolutely no idea what was going on so I just killed people and tried to protect whoever picked up the rift thing.
