They're making the dream of every publisher come true.
Who else could make the people pre-order or even sell a dlc at the cost of a whole game??? Obviously a lot of people from the UK pre-ordered it, that's why TTK hasn't been lowered.
For everyone in the UK who pre-ordered TTK:
What's wrong with you?? I don't care if you're rich or if you just love destiny... you're getting scamed like 10 year old kids, they're treating you like shit, isn't it offensive??
I look at getting my money's worth by how long I play it . For me £1 an hour so if I spend 60 hours in a game I know I get my money back and I've played so much destiny I get my money's worth every time.

Edited by VEL0CIRAPT0R-84: 9/7/2015 12:24:50 AMIt's counter intuitive but it's actually very good value for money... Based on some random examples such as the average cinema ticket costing £8 for 2 hours entertainment. A game of pool costing 50p for 10 minutes of entertainment. A session at the bowling alley costing £6 for 30 minutes entertainment, the value of a game should lie in how many hours of entertainment you get out of it... So if you play through the story on one character, play through the court of oryx and the raid just once, try some quest lines and play a couple of hours of PvP you will get approximately 20 hours of entertainment for your £40 which is better than every single option above. Of course the average destiny player plays a lot more and so I think the value for money. Is great. I admit, £40 is nothing to me really, but when you consider that a Blu-Ray is at least £10 and you might only watch it once for a couple of hours, TTK is actually fairly priced when compared to other entertainment mediums!? If you don't think that's a fair comment then I'm interested to know why not? So your not getting as much as the launch game, but that's an unfair comparison, back then the game was a new franchise and untested so the initial game had to be big and deliver above it expectation. So the story sucked and it wasn't perfect, but a shooter that's this mechanically sound with technical raids that challenge and bring together groups of players is a success in my opinion! If the company keep taking Fan feedback In and making improvements I will continue to buy the game for its projected lifecycle and I think many other players feel the same!?

Oh, gee, another "wake up sheeple" poster. Listen, what would I do if I "woke up"? Think the way you do? Accept your opinion as truth? Become a sheep?

Meh... I'm rich... £40 is spare Change... So yeah whatever...

No stopb

The amount of content in TTK is more than your average COD game... and we already have tons of content. TTK is essentially a brand new game with the amount of shit they are adding.

Edited by ItsYourLandlord: 9/7/2015 9:12:33 PMTTK isn't an expansion, it's a game itself.
That b8 though ;)
I sold base destiny, ordered legendary edition for £36, I will then sell TDB and HOW and likely end up ok, its just the long way to paying a fair price, I refused to pay the download cost as it was disgusting.

Balls, check Approach, check Public speaking, room for improvement

I'm not buying TTK. I straight up refuse to pay £40 for dlc. I can afford it - no issue there. I'm kind of done with Destiny now. I still play it from time to time, but nothing like I used to. I just log in and help friends. Haven't completed a nightfall in weeks. Plus, I have gears UE, forza and Halo MCC to play thru.

Yes totally overpriced for Digital Download of Just TTK. Went online and got the Legendary Edition on disc (including shipping) for £36.85. Can then take the vanilla game (with TDB and HoW codes untouched) in to local games shop to exchange against something else as well. Net result will be to pay what it should have been in the first place.
-
You're scamming yourself if you think the price of TTK in the UK is simply based on converting the U.S. Dollar to sterling. For a start the price would change daily if it was.
-
The UK pays more for everything.

£40 got TTK, £37 for legendary edition, £40 for new metal gear game (a whole huge, rich in content game) Activision are literally ripping people off and because most of the playerbase is kids, they can get away with it, they are very good at what they doooooo (valkris voice)

OMG! Activision is THE BEST PUBLISHER! I swear! THE GREATEST incorporate game business ever! It's thanks to these guys Destiny is going to be the greatest game ever! Special thanks to Bungie! There's no Destiny without Bungie! But Activision made that vision what it is today! A dream turned into reality!
I still wish the game started like E3 2013 demo with the real true Destiny story that was all scrapped and cut content splitting into future DLCs. Thanks a lot, Activision. Smh
