Really, did you pay no attention the what bungie revealed? The light level is what adds to attack and defence, hence why all exotics from year 1 are being set to 160 (or close to that from what I remember.) But the higher your light level, the higher your attack, therefore, those who claimed their first Gally and even those who have had it for months, they'll still be able to use it, it won't be [i]as[/i] effective as a year 2 exotic but will still back one hell of a punch. Basically all I'm saying is chill out, and realise they are adding a hell of alot of new content in TTK, therefore, there will be plenty of new items that will be the year two versions of weapons like Thorn and Gally, and all those other weapons everyone freaks out about on here. So just remember, the higher the light level, the higher the attack and defence stats of your guardian.

No - that's wrong. Year 1 exotics at 160 will be completely useless in year 2 content. If YOU payed attention to what bungie has said, you would know that you'll get weapons with a higher light level than year 1 exotics almost straight away.

Light adds to attack and defence, ergo Gally will be roughly just as or maybe even a little stronger, yes I know year 2 weapons will be stronger, that's a given, but those that are wanting to bring their old weapons through, for memories sake, they can and it might just take one or two extra bullets

Not quite accurate. More light doesn't give you more attack. Your attack and defense now form your light rank. So if your rocking ghorn your not going to have more light therefore your not going to be more powerful. Yes ghorn is still gonna hit hard but no where near the power of the new exotics.

There are other items to up your light tho so it could power up your ghorn a bit but still not on new exotic level.
