The Halo series is definitely worth playing. But it is a very different game from destiny; it's faster paced, more skill based and the campaign has a much more in-depth story. The multiplayer isn't exactly accessible, so if you're a PVP kind of guy I'd watch some footage online to get a sense of it first.

Halo games tend to go by faster. They can last as short as 4 minutes depending on the map and skill level involved, while Destiny matches typically last longer. Additionally, and this is especially the case in Halo 5, the combat movement speed and thruster pack are significantly faster than in Destiny. And "accessible" means "easy to play." Halo is not accessible to newcomers because it is a very skill-oriented game with a large learning curve compared to most other games.

Only a few times have games finished under 5 minutes for me. Most slayer games are about 8-10minutes. Maybe some objective games are quick. I never experienced the learning curve because Halo (I think) was my very first Fps (maybe Golden Eye or Perfect Dark). Halo 5 seems pretty fast paced I guess based off of game play I've seen

Thanks for the info. I'm late to the whole game console concept which means older games are real cheap. Finished the MASS EFFECT series just before trying Destiny. Maybe after completing TTK I'll give HALO a closer look.
