• It would if I were using a physical copy. But thanks anyway. Got ideas?

  • Try clearing your cache, powering off your console, unplug for 5 minutes, and then power back on and try again. Clearing Cache Help article

  • If I come off as a jerk, I apologize ahead of time; I'm just highly frustrated, and very disgruntled. I know you're just doing the basics, but it's past that point. I already talked to a representative at Xbox.com. Done the basics before I contacted them. Then did them again while I was talking to them. None of it made a difference so they resorted to blaming Bungie's servers(Which is nonsense!). Unfortunately, a direct connection with an ethernet cord is not possible in my circumstance. There's nothing wrong with my network, wireless or otherwise. Surprisingly, it's been running fairly superb the last few days. But I'll go over all the things we did: Restarted the console. Restarted the modem. Deleted all corrupted data. Made sure there was open space in my HDD(Over 80 Gigs available). Deleted the corrupt Destiny file. Cleared the system cache(Repeatedly at this point) Tried re-downloading Destiny. None of it worked so the guys response was that it must be some kind of problem with Bungie's servers. That's a lie and a run-around. The ONLY way I can imagine Bungie's servers causing this(which should technically be impossible.) is if I already had the game downloaded and was trying to play it. Which isn't even possibly the problem since it won't even download for me to play and attempt to actually interact with Bungie's servers. I've tried doing all these things and more. I've attempted to download the game from their marketplace servers over 10 times now and every single time has resulted in a notification reading, "Can't download Destiny" The basics won't fix this and apparently Xbox's reps only want to lie about it. I'm genuinely flabbergasted at this situation.

No need to apologize at all. I despise calling Sony or Microsoft tech support because of exactly this, they're very unhelpful. I don't have you had the opportunity to ask but I would call back and request to speak with the supervisor or the next tier of tech-support. Sometimes you just have to escalate in order to have your needs met and the issues resolved.

  • Yeah, I just wish they'd get rid of the low tiers. Nothing but time-wasting rage inducers. I don't understand why the age of technology has to be so damn irritating. I'll get to re-contacting the twats shortly. I need to relax first. -____-

  • Honestly, I completely gave up on Microsoft years ago. I sold my Xbox, gave away all my laptops and switch to PlayStation and Apple products. Sure, there's been some hiccups along the way but I feel like the products fit my lifestyle much better and I have less rage over the way that they perform.

Personally, I rarely have these kinds of problems. Usually when it comes to tech issues, it's generally because Comcast(My ISP) is absolutely horrible at everything. And I can't even connect to Microsoft's servers. But last month I chewed 'em out good and lately, my Internet has been pretty stable and running well. The worst part about all of it though is the fact that an Xbox Rep tried using an ignorant excuse like blaming bungie's servers, something I can't even connect to without having the game downloaded and booted up.. Appalling behavior is what I call that. Got half a mind to contact the Better Business Bureau over this.
