This is an opinion post to show Bungie what the Community wants done with the game we all enjoyed. Let our voiced be heard in either a "Yay" or "Nay"
Edit: if you want only a select few brought forward, plz explain why in the comments, as I see no reason for it and need convincing.
If you want them all brought forward, plz explain why in comments to try to convince those who dont.
Plz be clear and reasonable in your responses
Edit: I understand some guns were too much in year 1 and may be left behind. However, it should be all Exotics left, or none. It is wrong for Bungie to be picking and choosing the guns we can or cannot use. I understand they have the right to do so, but it is still wrong. There is so little variety left in this game as is.
Edit 2: Since I posted this bungie as announced that while not all guns will be brought forward at the release of TTK, they will be brought forward over time. No time is specified. And they have also said the gally will never be brought forward and will be left behind forever.
-
I don't really care because you will be killing my passengers with them.
-
Rip off the band aid you cabbages! Losing your Ballerhorn won't kill you. I'm actually glad to leave mine behind
-
I finally got a hawkmoon..... from a legendary engram today! It better be in TTK first thing! I can see why everyone loves it so much! Got it fully leveled too! awww yaaaa! They should all be brought forward, quit being lazy bungie.
-
They said all exotics will eventually be brought forward
-
They shouldn't be brought forward at all

Icebreaker

Edited by AdamR XII: 9/1/2015 1:35:39 AMI'm ok with some exotics being left behind for now, however I believe the exotics you have to work for earn and have not been sold by Xur should be the ones prioritized into moving up, I put time into getting my Vex Mythoclast and Lord of Wolves and I really wish I could bring them to year 2, Weapons like Vex, Necro, and the Elder Cipher trio should move up and heck even all the bounty weapons. Everyone who has these has a story about how they got them and none are too game breaking to overshadow the new exotics (maybe thorn). This is my opinion and it would be cool it Bungie would let us have our hard to get end game weapons
-
I'm just sad that I never had a chance to use the mythoclast back when it was actually decent.
-
If people got to choose which Exotics got the 2.0 buff, the overwhelming majority would choose the same ones. You are entitled to nothing. This is Bungie's game, not yours. You bought a license to play the game, nothing more. They can and do take your wants and opinions into account, but it's ultimately Bungie's decision to make.

It would be fine if they left some but can't we say what ones we want . Like 2 titan , 2 warlock , ect
-
only one, the NLB
-
They said all exotics will be brought into year two. Just not all at once.
-
No issue for me. I'm disappointed that Mida doesn't appear to be coming along. But I'll find a new "favorite" gun. I always do. If they left them all behind I would still play and be fine. I'll remember how much I loved Mida, how often I used Gjallarhorn and how I never really cared for Ice Breaker. But I'll get new guns.
-
Last I heard all exotics will become year 2 but not all at TTK release. Which I don't mind if they're doing so to insure they properly balance them.
-
I agree. I could handle legendaries, I could handle just Gjally, but gods... Only a few forward is super insulting.

I believe most, but not all. Weapons, specifically Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker, were built with the current philosophy and design. Bungie came out and specifically said that the game was designed that way because they at first did not trust the player base to engage cooperatively enough on things like strikes, so the bosses were simplistic and high health (aka bullet sponges). With TTK, they have discarded that philosophy and created low health bosses that incorporate mechanics and combat that require the player to move, think and engage instead of sitting in one spot and unloading as much damage as possible in the shortest amount of time. I love my Gjallarhorn, but watching the new strike and how quickly they were able to damage the bosses, Gjallarhorn would have killed the first boss before he could even run away. And the problem is that there is no way to bring Gjallarhorn up to Year 2 while meshing with the new designs without either A) nerfing it into complete oblivion or B) completely changing how the weapon works (turning wolfpack rounds into something else). Everything about Vanilla Destiny was designed poorly in terms of longevity for the game as a whole, and Luke even admitted this. The Raid weapons and exotics were too powerful and completely took away the choice factor of the game. All you see now is a VoG primary, usually Black Hammer, and Gjallarhorn for nearly ALL PvE encounters. Hundreds upon hundreds of weapons and the majority of the player base uses about 5 and discards the rest. That is extremely poor design on the weapons and they know this. And "just make better weapons" would be worse in terms of design as that would incur extreme power creep, destroying PvE even further. The only option is to leave them behind to start from scratch.

All the guns are going forward. They just need time to figure out how to make the year 2 versions of Gjallahorn, Thorn, Mida, and Icebreaker as shitty as the new guns thet're bringing out.
-
It's simple, really. Are soldiers still given muskets to fight in war? No. Better weapons came out. You could still use a musket if you want, but you'll die with it.
-
We should get the choice on which ones, or at least pick a class, some exotics are raid specific and hard to get, and others are mission based. And some are pure RNG. Leave the RNG behind then, but keep the only two primary elemental exotics in the game, we need them until we get raid replacements. The Vex and the necro are hard to get, so we should keep those.
-
No matter which select few any exotics that got a 2.0 buff should be brought forward and definitely both raid exotics.
-
We've worked hard for our weapons, we should be able to use them for as long as we desire.
-
I at least want the ability to choose which ones I bring. There are only a handful I use anyhow, and I doubt ANY of them are being updated.
-
All should be relevant until Destiny 2.

All or Nothing

Still about 2/3 hate this new system
