Why do men treat women gamers bad? I legit want true honesty here (open up)
Hey there, I'm a gamer from Texas.
I have a legit question I really want to know. After encountering so many rude remarks flirting, or even observing fellow female gamers yelled at/cat called...I really wanna know why a lot if you Lads don't like women? There would be times nothing would happen and yelling name calling and harassment would arise. Almost all of the times the lady gamer werent doing anything and the male would pick at her. Either being sexual or really aggressive. I noticed male gamers would get super mad when she would try to defend herself as if she had no right to defend herself. Then there are the few sweet guys that are super quiet guys. Only 1% percent out of 99 percent. Just tell me a simple sentence of what your attitude towards women is, in the gaming community. Is it Jealousy? Nervousness? No contact with women? Or you just don't like women gaming? Thanks.[spoiler]im watching he honest ok....[/spoiler]

5 RepliesI'm in that 1% I have multiple gamer girl/girl gamers I talk to daily and play games with daily. I personally think guys just want either the nudes or attention from the girls... Like be honest guys that's all any guy wants I'm right I know I am I have a gf so that dosnt really stand for me(I'm going to get hate for saying that but idgaf freedom of speech)but be real guys I'm not speaking for one I'm speaking for all guys. I hear it all the time when I'm playing S&D or playing any other game and it pisses me off because I can't stand up for them, I grew up to respect the women we have today not harassing them or putting them down and looking at it today that's all guys are doing. Guys let's be real today don't be that guy to put someone else down male or female lets just stop people.!!!!!

No offense but I give female gamers a wide berth, I hate the whole Thirst vs White Knight shit going on in chat. Every time I speak to females online they either have thirsty future rapists heckling them or pathetic white knights fawning over them. Meanwhile I just wanna play games, laugh at jokes, drink beers.

And they always like the mean guys more. Made me rethink women lol. Don't talk as I game l, but irl I play it aloof and kinda talk down to them. Seems to work. Lesson learned.

Well, what I think is, because female gamers usually go on to seek attention from guys or they end up being little kids, but most of the girl gamers only play Cod when they're so many other games, but they choose cod only and it's probably their little brothers console so they can label themselves "Gamer"

Most of the time I don't care if a girl joins my game or if I'm talking to one on Xbox or something. The thing I don't like is when they become attention whores.

Personally, I don't know any bloke like that. A group of us grew up together and we're all married now, none of us were like that before we wed and haven't been since. I don't know any pathetic betas who's closest interaction with women is with pam and pornhub. Why they do that I have no idea. I'd have to move away from my wife, live alone for 13 years on a diet of McDonalds and masturbate until I took layers of skin of palms before I could even attempt to think like they do. Until then, i'll carry on not giving a shit about whoever it is I end up grouped with in whatever game I happen to be playing unless it's my cousin, she goes afk to check twitter and it gets annoying.

It's just like why sexism is a thing today, many men think that they are the better sex, or are just assholes/trolls that want to feel superior because they aren't confident in themselves, and they put others down because of it. Which I do on occasion, because I'm still human, but I personally treat everyone the same most of the time

It's mostly the vocal ones. Respectful people tend to keep to themselves. The terrible people are always the ones to receive the most attention, mainly because they demand it. Not to mention that girl gamers are rare in Destiny and with how toxic the vocal part of this community is I can see why people pick on girls. I would apologize for these people but I have no responsibility for them.
