Lmao dont yall think its really funny how most of the community is always bitching about something?, they say shit like "why even sell a weapon if its just gonna be a plan c, universal remote, or no land beyond" then bitch about him not selling a weapon, now one week later they're bitching about him selling a exotic weapon even though the world almost ended because he didnt sell one the week before lol

Because it's Destiny It's a giant piece of Shit that nobody has fun playing, and does nothing but anger and dissapoint. Yet somehow if we try to stop playing we start to get these shakes and at night hear faint whispers of some child -blam!-ing my mom while crying about no 4th Gjallerhorn. We can't leave. So we hate it
-
Because the bitching never stops. They were going to bitch no matter what he sold today. Some people where going to be angry if anything other than GHorn was sold. Of courese if it HAD been sold....that have only gotten a different part of the "community" up-in-arms. Its an unwinnable game for Bungie at this point.
-
Yup I ain't even bitching about the bitching lol I just think it's funny lol
-
They were gonna sell Truth, but that wouldnt be right!
-
theyd complain less if he diversified his inventory. or if his loot table wouldnt consecutively sell the same item within a 2 month period. if he sold weapon engrams for 100 motes a piece, people would freak out
-
Edited by kellygreen45: 7/24/2015 3:03:03 PMDiversified it to WHAT? There are only so many exotics in the game....and he can't sell the console exclusives, raid exotics, or the bounty weapons....and Ghorn (face it) has been removed from the loot table.
-
yeh you got a point, but im missing 2 exotics, and i havent seen him sell either in about 4-5 months. and yeh, the community will have people for and against each item he sells or doesnt sell, but i believe most of the cause is him, and on a lesser degree its the community.

That's RNG for you. Which is why waiting for Xur to sell the exotics you're looking for is not a good strategy. 1. Buy the random engrams each week if its corresponds to a item class you are looking for. Most of my best "gets" from Xur came this way. 2. Do every end-game activity that has a chance of dropping exotics: Raid chest: Hard Light, Thunderlord. Nightfalls: Suros Regime, Truth, Monte Carlo, Plan C PoEs: Bones of Eao Iron Banner: Gjallarhorn, Hawkmoon. 3. Just keep playing the game. Got my second Hawkmoon as a IB drop one month after getting my FIRST one as a IB drop. Got my second Gjallarhorn from----of all places-----a legendary engram that I got in a Cryptarch package. Had to stop calling Master Rahool "That Cheap Bastard" after that one.

i do each activity and buy the engrams on each character, each week. minus being on narcotic meds from having a surgery for a few weeks, i have completed each raid; event; nightfall; etc. since launch week. im approaching 1300 hours, its not like i expect an exotic per 100 hours or every dozen raids. im not a filthy casual, dude

Didn't say you were. Just said that you combat RNG by churning the numbers....and having the patience to wait things out. I went nearly 4 months into this game without getting a SINGLE exotic that wasn't either bought from Xur, or earned as a bounty weapon. I mean blanked by EVERYTHING in the end game. In March my luck finally shifted, and exotics started coming in bunches. That's just the nature of Bungies' RNGs. It take you often forever to get the first one...and then they start coming in bunches after tha frist one drops.
-
i know you didnt, and i agree that increasing number of drops helps to fight against the low chance of what i want dropping. im still saying rng is dumb af

I'm thinking the overall solution to that nonsense is to have Xur just sell just one exotic engram per week (across all accounts, meaning you can't farm 3 of each). Then it would all be random and they wouldn't have to worry about cycling inventory and whatnot. Then, if you score No Land Beyond, or Universal Remote every week, it's just RNGesus telling you that you're going to hell.

Yes sir sounds way better than the current situation
