Character Lore (Part III)

After having played with the House of Wolves DLc for a while, I think I've been inspired enough to add on to my characters' lore. What's amazing is that I can actually have 6 characters now instead of 3 (thanks to a generous friend of mine), so I'm going to be, essentially, adding 3 more characters to the line of the Redstar family. Thats a total of six generations of story line. God, I'm a stickler for lore. Speakign of which, Taniks and I have unfinished business... For those of you who haven't read th first two parts of my character lore, I will provide ye with the links to them. Here ya go: Part (I): https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/113065395/0/0 Part (II): https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/115382214/0/0 As I had left off, Silver had previously discovered his goal in life, as it had come to him pretty late, considering. He used a sash as inspiration to perform as a wall between the innocent and the wicked. With the Queen having recently opened her borders to the guardians, and what with her offering treasures in return for the heads of the traitorous House of Wolves, Silver, Lydia, and even Quin himself, rushed to the Reef. And what could a 60 year plus old warlock do for the queen? Many a things. You don't question intense amounts of wisdom and skill. The three worked as a team, actually. Quin may be old, but his skill and abilities did not even wane over the course of time. He may have a few wrinkles, but he's still got it. In the beginning, Quin were bent on purest justice. In truth, his allegiance could be claimed by the queen, and he would turn on the traveler itself if she so wished it. Lydia gave her loyalty to the queen as well, but with her usual calmness. Left the tower for the reef and calls the reef her home there. What with her position within the tower having been a high one of rank, and her skills definitely more than notable,a s per the files the tower provided, she earned her right to purchase her home. She may have very well turned in every last bit of money she owned, every ounce of glimmer, to purchase her new home. Not a place amongst an asteroid or the ranks, but a ship purchased from the Queen's armada itself. A vessel large enough to house a large crew and several smaller ships. It is marked as the new home of the Redstar family, under the command of Captain Lydia Redstar. Silver still spends most of his time competing in friendly combat with his fellow guardians int eh crucible, but treats his fellow guardians the same as Wei Ning does. Minus the intense hugs. Smiles and cheerful laughter. A man claimed jolly. Not much is said about him otherwise aside from his remarkable skill as a titan. The same as Wei Ning and Saint-14 have, he has taken up the real meaning of a titan. A hulking mass, large and unstoppable. Like an indestructible machine. Or rather smart enough to not get killed whilst using every bit of his ability to down anything before him. His skill is unmatched, save for the upper level of skilled guardians. He can definitely be given praise and credit, and he has pride in his abilities, but he will never say he is the best. He knows there are others much better than him. Those who could walk into an active battlefield and literally claim the title as a one-man-army. No matter if they fight countless dreg at ocne or countless walkers at once, or even if Atheon himself decides to show up with doubles of himself, they would still come out on top. In a sense, he almost envies their ability. Quin's still got it. In every sense of a sixty year old man showing up to a show of skill and winning, then saying "I still got it." Age has done nothign to him. He is an intense amount wiser, but his abilities have not waned to any extent. His sharp eye with a hand cannon is remarkable, and his inability to be put down by anything is just as present. Whence Lydia learned of the Prison of Elders from Variks himself, she recruited both Quin and Silver, dragging them to the prison as soon as possible, having collected a new set of gear and a treasure skeleton key from her majesty herself. It took some time to get them there, as they both had to prepare, given that they had to earn their gear, but once they set foot in, they earned their keep. The first go around was simple. They got their feel for the landscape. Then with a simple suggestion from Lydia herself, the other two agreed, and they called Skolas out. He were no match for the three. As easy as it were to take him down at the top of the spire, but with a little extra work on the side. I find it remarkable how swiftly guardians take care of business. I want anyone who reads this to think about the story line of destiny itself. The missions themselves take but minutes, maybe half an hour or an hour. If all missions are exactly like that, then everything is all happening in less than a few days. So. Once Skolas breaks free and the guardians catch word, they are on him immediately and put him down without a problem. It's been recorded that guardians can actually die, and their ghosts as well. But so far, the Darkness in it's entirety is being pile driven into the ground. And, literally, all the guardians are doing is squabbling over whether the hunter, titan, or warlock is better. I think I'll write an actual story now, not just a bit of lore.
